God, the "Come Together" theme is already annoying.

I'm with VM and have Dolby Digital showing on my amp on HD BTS 1, BTS 2 and Pro Logic on ESPN.
If it's an HD channel it will broadcast DD by default. Is it DD2.0 or DD5.1 though?

BT haven't put DD (indicating DD5.1) on the Sky EPG.

5.1 on VM, according to my Amp anyway.

The Bet365 advert during the walk-out was OTT.

Going to have to put up with 90mins of Michael Owen.

Didn't see any odds displayed, didn't mind it though. Better than an full ad break. Disappointed that the talked over the main bit of 'You'll never walk alone'.

All readyd for the off then - BTS1 HD on the tv (and sound seems fine through the tv, but I don't have a fancy audio setup like others), and Leeds v the dark side through Virgin Anywhere on the PC, side by side.

The BTS HD picture is very sharp, we'll have to see if that dog gets annoying as it goes on...

As for Baker & Kelly yesterday, as always there was plenty of stuff that worked, and the odd bits that didn't - loved Doughy Barton though and the toaster predictions - wasn't it 9-0 to Stoke today? :hihi: The tarot reader section was very funny, like she was in a world of her own, and the bit when she just kept turning cards until she got the one she wanted, DB's face was a picture

I think if you're a long time follower of theres from back in the 90s, you know that there's more than an element of chaos alongside, and it always was a radio show, so can be a little harder working on tv

The BT Sport logo is intrusive.

Those manager graphics were just weird and I don't get why Mark Halsey is in the gantry

Oh, what a surprise I can't now login to the BT Sport online site to watch the football. Heavy load.

The sound is a bit....quiet, I don't usually have to pump up the volume when watching DD 5.1 football.

Anyone prefer the score bar at the bottom left? Sky tried it a few years ago and it never worked out.

So in summary to the BT Sport vs Sky argument, whoever may be at fault...

What are the chances of them coming to some sort of wholesale arrangement so I can get BT Sport through my Sky World Multi-room package and BT TV customers being able to have access to Sky Sports too?

I have been waiting to see if there were any developments, but it looks like I will just have to sign one box up to BTS direct with BT. Unless ayone here thinks a deal is likely in the next few weeks?
Given what am being told above about how I am wrong to think any Sky customers will be unhappy over a big multiroom increase at the same time as losing access to multiroom on many PL games and other stuff - or,that, if they are unhappy, thet will not be blaming Sky over this and complain that BT are the bad guys - well then I would say not going to happen any time soon.

Why would BT give an edge to those subscribing via Sky (they want Sky BB customers coming to them and if you can get multiroom by staying with Sky but not if you move to BT for broadband then it would turn people off switching which is counter their whole strategy).

Why would Sky pay money to boost take up of a rival set of channels - if the flak is going to BT not them they are probably happy (and I assume BT would want more from Sky for multiroom to be included).

Something will have to change to cause either to budge. And it seems hard to imagine that this is imminent unless - for instance - BT choose to give up on their apparent plan of protecting or increasing their share of BB users versus Sky very quickly. Or if take up of BT Sports drops too low and they need the boost a wholesale deal with Sky would bring to numbers. Possibly the reason they gave in to Virgin over wholesaling....though Sky would be a very different league of capitulation by BT,

Well this is obviously miming...
What on earth was that opening about !??

Are you sure it was miming because it sounded gawd awful to me part from the backing singers . The song was dire and uninspiring , slow and ponderous , the words weren't uplifting .

The main guy cannot sing to save his life and the song was bladdy terrible .

I just don't get what it was all about !!!

Personally no. The BT logo on the right side shouldn't be solid

They did that at the friendly too - really annoys me when commentators feel the need to talk over absolutely everything when often shutting up is the best thing they can do.

They seem to check the address of the Sky account v the address you are giving them very closely. It delayed activating our BT Sports by a week as Sky and BT had different counties listed on their computers for the correct address (Conwy v Clwyd)

No, its in your face all the time, at the top its not.
I remember it on sky, they had loads of complaints.

It could be a bit more transparent

The vast majority of Multiroom subscribers aren't taking BT Sport. They all do however have two extra devices for Sky Go and are able to download content to watch when they have no internet. That costs £5 per month for non Multiroom subscribers.

I know it's not ideal, and is only SD quality, but could you run a RF or SCART lead out of the SkyHD+ box to your other tv's - When we had Sky instead of Virgin, because of the multititude of output options on the Sky boxes, you could also supply the same feed to kitchen and bedroom tellys... like I say not ideal, but would give you the channel where you want?

One other thing, relating to BT online (and what BT Sport you can get through that, which may not be on the main channels) - am I right in assuming VM customers won't be able to access this, even though they may get BTS through VMXL?

I'm not sure what value the picture-in-picture stuff and Halsey's presence add to the coverage.
