I've just heard on a BBC News summary on BBC Radio that some BT Sport customers couldn't access the BBC Sport App or generally online this afternoon and BT Sport say it has been a technical problem. Not a very good start for those wanting to watch BT Sport online for BT Sports first Premier League match.
Ian.

Unofficial sources now saying BT Sport first premiership match peaked at over 1.6 million viewers on BT Sport 1.

Very very impressive figures if true

Unbelievable if true but don't quite know how you can get unofficial figures?

Curiousity, premier league fans starved of football for three months and not much else going on at 12.45 on a Saturday.

Jake just said we must tune into Match of The Day tonight to see all the goals.

Very kind of him to promote another channel!

That's a very fair point, Derek. I had forgotten that bonus.

So come on BT it is all your fault we do not have a multiroom
option....

Seriously, Radiomike, I was arguing generally not personally (I note someone after me has expressed annoyance at the lack of multiroom as well). My anger with BT is real and I will not be renewing via them after what they did,

But watching on line is okay as a substitute (only 23 seconds behind today and they are at least using the HD feed).

Plus I have found another way to watch BT Sports in HD on our main box without waiting for Sky or BT to talk to each other. Would never have bothered if they had got their acts together and not gone to war at the expense of the viewer,

But that's what happens when you do not put the customer first. You drive them towards other means and some of those who find them (not us) will probably decide to bypass Sky and BT altogether.
I wasn't aiming to be personal either, just trying to put your comments in perspective or give a different view.

Many on here seem to want to treat BT and Sky as if one was the good guy and the other the bad guy (which is which varying from poster to poster) when basically it is, to quote another poster elsewhere, like choosing sides between Iran and Pakistan in a conflict scenario. Not much to choose between them in many respects.

The people who suffer in these scenarios are us as they fight their petty little squabbles. On balance here I think that BT are being more petty because they appear to be more anti (Sky) than pro anything. Ultimately I suspect we will be able to get BT Sport from Sky but it may need an OFCOM ruling or common sense to prevail first.

Just flicked to BTS1 - it's 10 mins till all the 3pm games finish and Jake is talking to Paul Dempsey about falling off the studio stage before they went on air this morning.

I think there is a big question mark about this BTS1 3pm programme.

I can only assume they want the show to be completely different to Soccer Saturday, and it's most certainly that.

At least they have a ticker!

At the moment I'm watching Sky Sports News on for reports and latest scores of today's football matches. I think it would be quite good if BT Sport had a similar Saturday afternoons programe.

You clearly don't understand TV ratings, because no ratings for today are released until Sunday morning.

Not working at all.....anyone with a choice between Sky or BT would not hesitate to watch Sky, BT have nothing to offer and almost seem uninterested, same has to be said for Jake who has even promoted Match of the Day!!

I'll be watching Football First at 10.00pm to watch full highlights of my local team that I follow Sunderland not Match of the Day, as I like to see extended highlights of my team, even though they are losing at the moment.

I think his promotion of MOTD might have been a pop at Sky

I didn't think he was that bad at all - in fact I was really impressed by BT's coverage. Great pq and very professional - love Ian Darke too. Much better than the ESPN/Setanta coverage.

The issues over the app though, that's rightfully being being criticised - very poor indeed!!!!

Unimpressed by BT Sport so far. The build up to the game was ponderous and lacking in any insight. The glass pitch is a pointless gimmick and the constant use of the inset to show the back of the referee's head irritated quickly, Michael Owen's monotone drone was Trevor Brooking with the knowledge removed.

It will be good if they put the names of the scores on the white bar at the bottom of the tv screen and at the end in the results section in the big box on the tv screen

Well, I am enjoying BT Sports as a refreshing change from Sky and the Beeb. It's good to get some new inputs, some of which are bound to work out better than others

I actually enjoyed the combination of Ian Darke and Michael Owen in the commentary box, and the addition of a referee's view was also interesting .....there just weren't many contentious issues to address in the game. Even the virtual pitch came in handy, I thought, when they showed how goal line technology will work.

After 3pm was a different story, though. I think they'll need to do something else as they really didn't have anything specific to offer.

Good start on the whole

Our iPad and bt sport app thingy worked all afternoon
My daughter is the footie lover not me
Have sky broadband in main house and bt broadband in annex that we rent out
Used it on our sky broadband
It does not work on 3g she said, so not as good as sky go
She commented on jake being on screen too much, owen a joke and the results show was poor
From what I saw the studio show bits were tedious
