Hey people, just bought a sony soundbar and tv, thinking all the same brand will be a doddle to set up, couldn't be further from the truth! Terrible instructions from Sony on the equipment, really poor. So my problem is this, tv has an hdmi with arc enabled (1), I assume soundbar goes into this one, where do I plug the bt vision box?! Into the tv or into the soundbar?! Also which remote should I use? I now have 3 that can control the volumes!!

Hey Steve,

I just got a new Samsung TV with Samsung Sound Bar so its fairly fresh in my head.

I'm actually a bit of a nub at these things although trial and error often gets me through it

Connect the HDMI cable from the sound bar to your BT Vision box. Also connect and HDMI cable from your BT Vision box to your TV, assuming there are at least two HDMI ports.

In my case I'm using a scart cable from my virgin box to the TV because there is only one HDMI port which Im using to connect to the sound bar. Make sure you select HDMI as the sound source and it should work.

Good luck!

If the Sony TV has ARC and the soundbar has a HDMI input :
Soundbar connects to HDMI/ARC socket on tv.
Other devices with HDMI output connect to remaining HDMI inputs on TV.
If ARC is enabled and speakers disabled in TV setup, only the Soundbar remote is required to alter volume.
