On last year's version of this TV when one is listening to music using a hard drive or a USB memory stick, the Eco-Mode is inoperative. This means you are forced to watch a bright screen with its pseudo-revolving CD disc displayed all the time, you cannot blank the screen or adjust the brightness in anyway. This is most annoying,
I would prefer to have the option to blank the screen. Funnily, the eco-mode works fine watching TV. Why you would want to blank the screen watching TV I have no idea.

My question is for anyone out there using a hard disk to listen to music on this newer model UE**F8000 is, have you noticed that the Eco-Mode is operative and working as it should do or not? Are you able to blank the screen?

Try asking this question in the TV & Projectors sub forum at AVForums. It's a bigger readership so you have a much better chance of finding someone with the new version of the TV that's also using it to play music in the same way as you.
