OK so about 6wks back I had some issues with my signal and for about 24hrs the signal was all over the place but after 24hrs had passed all was ok.

I had the same issue earlier this week but it lasted only a fews hours. Now this morning it has gone again and since then the signal has barely been there and coming back only for a for short seconds. Is anyone have issues with the T-Mobile signal...or even EE/Orange?

I'm PAYG, well I was but this morning I switched to a sim only deal for 12months, now I doubt that this would have anything to do with the issues regarding signal would it? Cause the only thing that has changed is the way I pay and how much texts/calls I get. So I doubt that is the issue. Im in the MK40 area and the rollout has been happening and this was the reason I got a while back when the issues first happened...surely over 6wks on the rollout would be complete, thus no longer the signal having issues? Or could that still be why this is happening? I did contact T-Mobile and they said there is a issue in my area...so within the space of 6wks my signal has gone down several times...is anyone having issues?

Whilst I am here...as I said I signed up to a sim only contract this morning and it starts today however when I check the allowance it only gives me the currents texts I have left and doesn't mention my mins or internet data....why? It says I have 499 texts left but this will reset on 4th Aug...? what is that about and also I have sent more then 1 text since this morning when I changed to contract...advice? I've always been PAYG so i'm no wised up to the info when changing to contract.

You say CS have told you there is a network issue in your area at present.....that would explain the signal being intermittent. Upgrades over several sites in one town/city could take months...certainly longer than 6 weeks.
The orange pay monthly billing system isn't real time like prepay so if you have used minutes & texts these may not show coming off your allowance for up to 24hrs.

Oh OK...i thought the upgrading would only take several days.

I don't really understand the coverage map, can't make head or tails of it. OK so when you use you mins, texts and data it wont show up for 24hrs, I'm sorry...didn't know that, told you I ain't wise when it comes to contract. Btw I am T-Mobile.

This goes back to Orange's outdated provisioning platform.
It's also why Orange can't stop your data when you run out, you just start paying.
TM/EE4G side is better. Data stops when you run out and remaining data amount status updates normally in about 30 seconds.
Orange have the better voice-mail though so...
Eventually TM users will get the Orange voice-mail and Orange users will get the TM data system.

I'm pretty convinced that around this time Orange and TM will disappear altogether to be replaced with EE3G (standard) and EE4G (premium) brands..
Or something like that.

I could be wrong though!

Yes, you are not the only one OP. My signal is next to nothing or 'no service' half the time. There is no problem in my area, yet EE refuse to address the matter constantly fobbing me off with non existant call backs , and false promises of a replacement handset.

The shops tell me to phone customer services (difficult without a signal) and customer services tell me to go into a shop ......... and on it goes.

I regret the day I ever associated myself with EE.

I'm getting full signal now so maybe the issue has passed. I've not lost signal nor since Friday.

My only other issue is that I have made much more texts then my accounts says. Its been stuck at 493 texts remaining sincere Friday and I have made much more...the calls Łeem to update quickly but the texts aren't and my data is the same even though i've been on the net but its only lasted a few mins here and there. Why isn't it updating the texts...do I calling themagain?

3g signal drops occasionally but 2g is perfect, could it be my sim that's the issue as I have it several yrs now.

I'm in Northern Ireland (greater Belfast area), and over the last few days our Orange signal has definitely deteriorated! I can no longer get signal in our living room where before it was consistently 3 bars, and calls to my wife when she is at home are nearly always going straight to voicemail!

Could it be due to the upgrades to the 3g network that are causes this? I mean the roll out of 4g is happening so whilst this goes through could it be affecting the signal til is finished?

Ever considered people were at work at the time you had posted? Fair enough, do a question mark if you didn't get a response for 7 days, but 2 hours and 30 minutes is hardly a long time.

Sorry.

Just trying to make sense if its my sim card or the network itself. Getting only 2 bars on 3g....2g is perfect, could my 7yrs old sim be struggling to keep up?
