I'd say there has been more varied bidding than last year when only the very top players were picked up in the auction.

There's no way to check how many players each manager has bidden on is there?

Also once a player has been signed, do we see who by/the price/the contract length?
Yes there is no way to check, other than going in separately to see the players.

Yep. I will make an accepted list before Tuesday, so will be able to see all the offers going through.

Dam. Just logged back in and half my offers have been rejected.

28 Offers for Santi Cazorla already. Think he was most expensive signing last year wasn't he, apart from Rooney in the auction.

Yep, no way this will be over on Wednesday with the deadlines continuously extending. I fully expect there still to be a few deals going through on Friday.

Think Yakutz bought him for £43m in the end, then sold him to me fairly cheaply for the good of Arsenal

£22m + Suarez for Tevez? Not the most expensive if you take Suarez at his list price but in terms of true market value that would be last years record.

I think it is because all the top players would be released shortly anyway, the wages are too high for a long term contract.

Is someone just bidding £1m again and again to try and put others off bidding for him

Some players have multiple bids despite only having 1 bidder

Lol. That is why the playerlist only shows number of bidders, as people can mess with it like that. I've just changed it now so that it shouldn't count bids instantly rejected like that. Never though about the fact that it doesn't really need to record those bids.

I think it worked better as before? Now it doesn't update your highest rejected bid each time, on the auction status page, which is something quite helpful to keep track of imo.

Think now it just says your highest rejected bid before you made this change?

Following on from this if you bid for someone and it gets rejected you have to keep track of it yourself now as there's no record on the auction status page.

Cool. I've put it back to before. I will have to build something in to stop people bidding below their already highest bid.

EDIT: have done this now.

Think in future we won't do blind bidding. It is a bit of a banter killer at the moment. Although will be interesting tomorrow once the accepted offers start rolling through.

I think I preferred the way we did it last year to be honest, left the chance for definite tactics whereas this is more of a mad rush. A very fun mad rush mind

So hard to know what's going on until we see some offers accepted tomorrow. Very curious what some of the more popular players will go for!

Me too. Some of the players that have had bids really has me scratching my head, but I might be the one who is proved wrong yet.

Yeah. I think that is the other downside. I can see quite a few players slipping through fairly cheap.

If you scroll down on the auction status page you will see the "Completed deals" section. These should start to appear from tomorrow.

Think I need to brush up on my championship players. Never heard of Carvan or Bo-Kyung and they have as many interested bidders as RVP!

Ha. I know Garvan because he used to play for Ipswich, like a lot of Palace players.

If you combine all the players I've been outbid for I'd have an awesome team

If I get all my players, I will have an awesome team and bench, although they would be on short contract lengths.

Interesting strategy. You might have a battle on your hands in a couple of months to keep all your players. I am quite interesting tonight to start to see what sort of contract lengths people have gone for.

Yeah, it's hard to decide the length of contracts, especially for the big earners. Couple of questions for you. Is it possible to change the length of a players contract who you are currently leading for? And can you release a player mid contract if he is injured or sold or just plain useless? I'm guessing both of these answers will be no!

I think the only way to do this would be to place another bid, of the same value, for the player with the new contract length that you want. Problem with this is it'd extend the deadline for the player.

Pretty certain you can.

Tried it, it rejects the bid because it obviously doesn't beat the previous bid. I could add another 0.5m to the bid but I don't want to extend the deadline.
