I think that's the first time Fab hasn't beaten me for about two years - even with all my strikers being inexplicably dropped. Bit gutted about only getting a draw, really.

JMTD's done great since taking over, really turned his team around. I can't ever remember a week where every single starting attacker from a team has scored points?

Yeah I can't remember that happening either. It is 10 points in 6 games for JMTD now. That is top half form. It just goes to show that with these new rules a manager can turn a team round. Looking at that squad, JMTD can put out a genuinely good side in attack and defense.

I'm not about at all from now until New Year's Day and will struggle to do anything on the site. I have set it up to automatically update the squads at 12pm on NYD. No updates will be made by myself though till after the final game when I should be back to do everything needed. Hope everyone has a good New Year.

I make another ghastly and costly error of judgement, I thought that after his goal v Liverpool Eto'o might start today, and so I left Berahino on the bench, and what happens? Eto'o doesn't do anything today, and Berahino goes and scores the winning goal!

Because Eto didn't play then Berahino will replace him in your team. That's not going to help you in your match unfortunately though, you need to buy another defender or two to have a chance in this.

If anyone is wondering why the site hasn’t been updated, I will do it tonight. I was in London for New Year’s so made it impossible for me to get any time to update it. Hopefully most of you have been able to work out how your games went. In my case, I think it went badly. Gutted I couldn't even update my team, but not sure it would've helped.

In 3 years of this game I'd say this is the most in form team I've ever had. Think I got 33 attacking points and just the 14 defensive points over the festive period!

It's going to be a shame to break the team up. Reckon by the next time I play there's every chance I've have lost about 7 or 8 of my starting 11

I'd say this was vital for your team batdude. If you go to the League Homepage and scroll to the bottom it has your team's stats and it says you concede 9.45 defensive points per game, of which 2.5 is just from penalty points for not fielding enough defenders. Worse is that you've had 21 penalty points in 3 games. Some of these you couldn't help, but if you can get rid of some of that and your team will be significantly improved.

Season, why did Nolan get 4 penalty points for his red card? I thought midfielders/strikers just got however many goals his team conceded post-sending-off? Admittedly, I can't recall actually having a red card in this before so have never really paid much attention to the rules regarding them.

Nah that was the old rule. Now its minutes missed/90 and then multiplied by 10/8/6 for Goalkeepers/defenders/attackers respectively. The total at the end gets rounded up to the nearest integer.
