I've started to get the Three 'tethering error' webpage when browsing on the Galaxy S3 with the stock browser (using stock ROM, Android 4.1.2). I'm not tethering, and I don't have any of the apps known to falsely trigger the tethering error installed.

The following sequence always triggers it for me:

1) open browser and ensure desktop view is checked
2) browse to www.livescore.com
3) click on any of the game scores

This should bring up game details but instead brings up the tethering error. Only option is to restart phone or cycle flight mode. I should add that other websites seem fine, though I've only tried a handful since discovering this false alert.

Any ideas?

Sounds like livescore are generating a request in a non standard way or something. I'd log it with Three support.

This gives some credence to my theory that Three detects tethering by whether a mobile or desktop version of a page is requested.
