Sneezing cats

Hello. I have 7 cats (I know I'm mad), 1 year male, 8 months Male, 2 x 2 years 1 male, 1 Female, 3 x 6 year olds 2 male 1 female. All neuteured/spayed. The youngest ones jabs are up to date the older ones I have let slip. We found a dying cat (not one of ours) down the bottom of our garden last week (a local stray), it died as we took it out from under the hedge it was breathing very laboured. I'm now worried that all my cats are sneezing and they might have caught cat flu from the stray. Even the little ones are sneezing and they been jabbed. I took one of the 6 year olds who had been a bit under the weather to the vet to be told he is fine and I have made appointments to get all of their jabs up to date. I'm worried now I left it too late. I know you can't help me I'm just worried.

Your not mad at all having 7 I have a few more. Cat flu is airborn so it is a possibility that they could have caught something. Vaccines help as in if they get anything they don't get it as bad,
Have you been spraying anything inside or got any plugins at all.? Was the cat you found injured. Are there eyes watery or sticky and also are the colour of there gums pink. Are any of them limping too or have limped in the last few days at all and finaly are they out door kitty's. sneezing doesn't always mean cat flu but with all of them sneezing it is looking like it, If it was me I would air on the side of precaution and if one needed treating treat them all. You can't cure cat flu but only treat the simptons.

Do you have any flowers inside the house, the pollen can make the cats sneeze.

That poor bloody cat that died
You should be worried, sounds like they have cat flu.
That will be a very expensive mistake for you won't it.
Good luck with getting seven lots of medication down them, twice a day.

Although vaccination helps to reduce the risk of cat flu, this disease can still be seen in vaccinated cats. Do they have any other symptom apart from the sneezing, runny eyes, breathing difficulties?

If i were you i'd take them for a check up just incase.

Good Luck OP

That poor bloody cat that died was left behind by it's owners that moved and has lived as a stray for over 4 years, I had contacted RSPCA about it and tried to catch it a few times to no avail.

BTW I was asking advice not seeking a bollocking thank you very much

Sorry yes took 2 of the cats to the Vets yesterday and explained the others at home had same sneezes, no runny eyes or anything and the vet said they were fine and it was more than likely an allergy. Will keep an eye on them though thankyou

Hi op good on ya, you are a responsible owner no doubt, ignore that previous poster..grr.

Our cat who lives with my mum (long story..still our cat etc)

He started developing blocked nose, etc runny eyes, it turned out it was an allergy to my mums new perfume!

It's dealt with, and our Hamish is a scaredy housecat, fully vaccinated, he doesn't like outside!
