I totally agree it's still a hell of a lot to fork out in whatever way you look at it. It's silly That's good Mrs T. I rather hate money sometimes and the stresses it causes.

Good luck & will keep you fingers crossed. Houses seem to be back on the up at the moment so that will hopefully help you aswell We've put ours on the market but after a few months we took it off as it was only the start of the recession really. Mum was going to put it back up again a couple years back but had stuff she wanted to do first that never happened (although it has now). But the bank people who the mortgage is paid to were kind to my Mum They were meant to be upping the rates last year as agreement to the payment plan or something like that but they've not done it as Mum told them what was going on and they were good about it luckily

I hate financial things and money is often a worry or should we say 'the lack of it'

Things are on the up but it's a cautious market too, I've no panic to move or sell but want to test the market out in some respects, it's more of an emotional and less costly 'move'

Many banks will accommodate peoples circumstances if you talk to them, good for your mum she must have had the intelligence to speak to them

Me too, it's caused me so much stress over the last 5 years & I'm only 23. Ugh.

Yes that's true. Hope it's a successful test for you though. Yes ours was a bit like that. My Mum wanted to move somewhere smaller (well from a 3 bedroom to 2) and pay it straight off so she only had bills which would be ok & no finical ties to my Dad. However he no longer pays which makes it harder for my Mum but least she doesn't have to depend on him (well she can't.)

Yeah you're right and yeah, it was hard for her but I'm glad she got it sorted I don't even have a credit card or overdraft. No need for either of them anyway

Don't stress over it, not worth it but understand

Complicated for your mum Crazy but she sounds like an amazing lady who can stand on her own and all credit to her for that.....I like to think I am a bit the same

I might sell up, become a gypsy and travel around with a horse

She is amazing but I'm biased anyway lol. Least she wouldn't lie to me. The occasional fib here & there but nothing on the scale of a certain parent I could mention. You are strong & can stand on your own two feet lovely. You inspire me

Yay can I come? Lol x

Evening folks.

I've got a friend coming round in a bit, he's "donating" me some CDs. One's he doesn't listen to anymore.

In other words, I'm probably getting his crap, but still, it'll be fun checking out some new bands.
