FInally got the coffee having been distracted by ironing needing doing and other shizz!

There was a phone in quiz on TV the other day to name the popular item of clothing worn by Scottish men....two ridiculous possibilities and a kilt! Duh!!!!!!!! I guess it guarantees the money rolls in so they can not only afford to dish the prize money out but pay all those involved a fat salary as well

It gets ever more amusing each day I go to my volunteer program induction week (where I get paid a grant for the full duration)
Today we had one person who has possibly been removed from the program (as in thrown out)
and another person so angry and frustrated with the mess of it all. walked out in anger and I'm only 50/50 if they'll come back tomorrow.

And tomorrow there will likely be only me and one other person of the 6 (Including me) who started on Monday, that will be in again.
(Two others of the group can't make it in)

Oh what fun
And me who struggles with stuff like this has managed to stay in despite it all. I'm just like too tired to worry about it too much.

So far I have spent about 25 hours on this induction and still tomorrow to go before the work starts. 9am start tomorrow. I can feel my body revolting at the thought. But I do still want to do this.

Lack of communication is the issue rather then the work.

You're doing very well to cope under these circumstances CB, others cracking under the strain. Also you are luckier than some in that you can clearly see what the problem is, rather than just getting angry and frustrated with it without knowing why it's so crap!

I'm assuming you get the weekend off? I suggest you build in a treat for yourself [and the cat...maybe a posh pussy nosh!] as rewards for your week of grimness and what is yet to come. Treats make life worth it I treated myself to a small but beautiful embroidered owl cushion in The Range earlier.....I loves owls!

I know why it's crap though. Bad communication and the person in charge always too busy running things to ever be in. But it's just one of those things. I can't change it, can only make my complaint known.

And yes I bloomin well hope I get the weekend off! I'm exhausted. Well and truly exhausted. Just not having to go out would be treat enough. A lie in... OMG A lie in would be heaven!

I like owls too. I like the bigger ones like the Eagle Owl and the Snowy. But the little ones like the short eared owl are cute too.

There is something strangely human about an owl. I know what you mean about the lie in...I will get one on Sunday and a bit of one on Sat....due to dog sitting, I have to get up and give them brekky and get their harnesses on and take them for poopies by 7.30am so they are ready to be collected by doggy day care

Ahh but dog walking isn't really a chore is it. 7.30am though is a little early.

I am looking forward to my lie-in so much right now.

I can't walk them any distance as I've a long standing ankle injury problem They need more exercise than I can do hence son paid for the day care. I didn't argue as I know they'd have been a right handful with not enough exercise!

CB, I totally agree with Twass' post, couldn't have put it better myself.

I sometimes get frustrated & angry but usually know the reason why. However I sometimes end up crying instead lol

Tired again :yawn: But it's the weekend I had a VERY VERY early night last night. Was in PJs before 7pm, was fast asleep by about 7.15, slept til 9. Woke up for an hour & a half, made sure I brushed my teeth and then gave in and went back to sleep. Don't think I woke again til 7ish Was very proud of myself. Am hoping for another earlyish nigh

Oooh, I've not had sushi for an age....I love it! With lashings of wasabi so your nose cries when you eat it I last went to a proper sushi restaurant about three years ago and had some awesome sashimi as well....but it's so expensive Supermarket sushi is OK but it's not the same
