Very much on the road to recovery, yes It is a six month recovery period from that op, until she will feel the maximum benefits from having had it, but already can go out and has walked the dog and done all manner of things she simply couldn't do before as was permanently exhausted and breathless. Still on the oxygen machine at night, though.

Gardening is a bit of a chore but I like it to look good, and that takes a lot of work! Three quarters of the garden is a total wilderness but I fight to keep the remaining bits looking OK
Awww Twass, that's a lovely DIL update I can still remember that 'scary' moment you guys had and that helps show you how far she's come Well done to DIL

Fair enough

Sounds like progress is being made... six months seems normal though, I expect the physio will be round with handfuls of exercise sheets

No that wouldn't work.

Anyway this is pretty much 'anything goes' in this thread

Physiotherapists do a great job They really helped my Nan after her major operation a few years back.

Nah... a couple of members have had posts reported on this thread so I'd suggest that ain't the case!

If you don't use an adblocker then even DS can be problematic!

Thank goodness for anti-virus software eh

Well duh!! My sister is an senoir occupational therapist and is ALWAYS exhausted bless her. But then she often does 10 day shifts at a time & then gets a few days off

Ten day shifts of any work is difficult
