Got my statement from my credit card today with the emergency money advance on it after our wallets were nicked. I didn’t know what the charges for the service would be. Found out today… nothing. Thank you Barclaycard.

Not like banks to go out of their way for customers.

They were really good. We were given an emergency phone number and had one person dealing with sorting things throughout the day.

Mr G had three emergency money options but it was my Barclaycard that was by far the most helpful service.

As I said that makes a change for them. It's good that you had someone decent working with you too.
I want to change banks I'm sick of the sleaze & massive payouts directors etc., are getting. The dilemma I have is I want to use a Scottish bank (not only in name) but the banks up here have bought over so many English branches they've actually forgotten their roots & lost sight of the fact they were the 1st bank ever to open!
The history of Scottish banking dates from the formation of Bank of Scotland in Bank of Scotland Crest Edinburgh in 1695. It was a great age for the promotion of new business ventures and the Bank of England was founded the preceding year by a Scotsman, William Paterson.
And after their appalling behaviour in the run up to the Referendum vote I'm hacked off with their lies. It was all BS they would move to England if it had been a Yes vote. Their bloody head office is in England already!
