It should have been a cheap break but the dreadful exchange rate and having to upgrade our room made it not so good. It least I know I can fly without any problems with my eye so we can be more adventurous next time. I wanted to give Tenerife a miss this year. Two years ago we had our wallets stolen, last year my retina tore. There have been volcanic rumblings. I think I owe it to the citizens of Tenerife not to go this year.

TBF the exchange rate for sterling is at an all time low at the moment. No doubt it'll pick up eventually.
I can see why you'd want to give Tenerife a miss for a wee while.

I’ve been to Ibiza. We went in June and it was packed and we couldn’t park at a lot of the pretty bays.
We’re going to Sardinia next year. That should be a bit nice.
