Just bought the selected works of Joseph Conrad for a quid. It's a 1371 page read. I want to read his novel Nostromo. The Alien film spacecraft was called the Nostromo. Trivia, there.
I don't care! This isn't the bleedin' book club! *bashes jra over the head with aforementioned book*

Scots. Are you in a bad mood per chance.

'In the time of Spanish rule, and for many years afterwards, the town of Sulaco - the luxuriant beauty of the orange gardens bears witness to its antiquity - had never been commercially anything more important than a coasting port with a fairly large local trade in ox-hides and indigo.'

The first sentence from Joseph Conrad's novel Nostromo.
