EE Clare Bates. They could've done a lot more with her but didn't.
Same with- Glenda Mitchell & Suzy Branning. |

EE
All the Moons (except Alfie and Michael, Jake did improve as well though but still didn't have the impact as expected) Suzy Branning Derek Branning Andy Hunter Ray Dixon Archie Mitchell (completely underused and sort of wasted should've arrived late 2007) |

I disagree on Archie Mitchell.
If he wasn't killed in Who Killed Archie? I think his character would've been ruined and hung around like a bad smell. It would have ruined The Vic also, considering just Archie would have been pretty stupid. I think he was used as much as he could be. |

I always assumed Larry Lamb wanted to leave, I mean to have a character like Archie be killed off without the actor requesting it is a bit harsh.
I suppose the storyline is really iconic now though, and caused the exits of Archie, Stacey and Bradley. |

Hollyoaks:
Ally Gorman - his story on paper was good but unfortunately Dan O'Connor just wasn't able to make the character likeable in any way. Perhaps his story being muddled up mid-way didn't help either. Pete Hamill - came in all exciting with a bit of mystery surrounding what he knew. Had one terrible storyline and the actor cut his contract short suddenly, with any story he was supposed to have been given probably given to other characters. Emily Alexander - I know she was only a guest character but as the sister of Jacqui, Mercedes AND Theresa, I feel more could have been done with her. At least a mention now and again would be nice. Neighbours: Mason Turner - Huge flop. Can't take his villainous storylines seriously without seeing a bit more vulnerability to the character and can't take his relationships with other characters seriously without seeing a bit of emotion from the actor. Riley Parker 2.0/Declan Napier 2.0 2.0. Michael Williams - Had so much potential in the beginning; I thought his story could make him a very convincing adult gay character but unfortunately we got nothing but ~2 emotionless short romances, then a storyline that was good but just didn't hit the right notes. I think the problem here was they didn't really know what to do with him. |

EastEnders
Eddie, Tyler and Anthony Moon - their arrivals were much heralded, they had their own "New Moons" special, they were aligned with some of the more established characters on the show and then they ended up doing sweet FA in terms of memorable storylines. The Ferreira family - the victims of unfortunate circumstances around the deportation of the actor who played their father, they went from the promise of a ratings grabbing "murder your father" plot and ended up with the woeful kidney transplant saga. Linking Shirley Benson and her cat to the family didn't help matters either. |

undoubtedly Rob Donavon in Corrie, being Carla's brother they had the potential to bring, and be, so much

Dexter has to be one of the most annoying, tedious, pointless characters ever created.

Ava Hartman for sure. She started off so well too until she moved to Walford permanently and become like the other screeching fishwives.
Derek Branning. He was hyped to be the next great EE villain but he was a bit of a joke and complete let down really. The Turner family in Neighbours. With the exception of Lauren they've all turned out to be pretty poor characters with Mason being the worst. |

EE :
Glenda The Moons Sharon and Denny New Lucy AJ Derek Branning (Considering Jamie Foreman comes from a gangster family he didn't play a convincing big villain. He was more of a petty criminal and a bit of a joke). Syed and Christian Corrie: Mary Mandy Genna Sean (He really is terrible) Emmerdale : Dom and Gemma |
