When does Talk Talk You View come to town?
Does anyone know where I can find out details of when TalkTalk TV / You View is rolled out on different exchanges?
I asked TalkTalk's helpline. Despite being a TalkTalk fibre customer according to their line checker I can't get Talktalk TV yet. So I asked them when would I be able to. They said they couldn't tell me due to the Data Protection Act. Now I know that the Talktalk account is in my wife's name so they wouldn't be able to give me details of the account but I was asking not about my wife's account but about the capabilities of the local exchange. I explained this to the person I was talking to but they still said they couldn't say due to the DPA but would happily tell my wife. Their understanding of the DPA is different from mine. Maybe their helplines don't want to sell the product. As my wife is in Malawi until Christmas she is not available to ask TalkTalk about UK TV services. Does anyone know if there is a list online of the rollout of TalkTalk TV? |

As far as I am aware, TalkTalk YouView has been available on every exchange since launch. I have had mine since last September. All you need is an internet connection of at least 4Mbps.

We got it last month. We just called and it was delivered a few days later.

So either their online checker is wrong and their staff, using the same checker, didn't realise that the fact that I already have their broadband meant that their checker must be wrong, or not everyone with TalkTalk broadband can get TalkTalk TV. |

They must have cocked up somewhere. I cannot imagine that it is not available, especially as you are already on fibre optic. Might it be worth the expense of your wife giving them a call from Malawi?
