I seem to recall Peter played a transvestite in an episode of Prime Suspect back in the early 90s, so a leather mini-skirt and boob-tube might be an interesting look for the 12th Doctor... (I'm sure there's still some of Tegan's old gear hanging in the Tardis wardrobe).

A grey suit with a skinny black tie maybe? A modern trend but something which would suit him and make him look the part. Maybe I'm wrong

Something akin to Matt's. I don't want it to look like Matt's but he should be in something which on paper you wouldn't put him in, you would think, 'no, this won't work at all,' but in reality it really does work.

Dark and smart. Coat tails, maybe. Alternatively, academic scruff.

I think a normal suit maybe black or grey, maybe a tie maybe not... I can't really picture him in anything else, but I hope he is a more darker and less forgiving Doctor, kind of like the 9th Doctor.

Yes. Something not too modern. I think we've had enough of that with Chris and David. The Doctor is very, very, VERY old and I can't imagine he would make an effort to keep up with the trends but he does like to look smart (most of the time, just ignore 5-7 (particularly 6)).

No idea, but I doubt 12 will dump the bowtie in disgust like the potential younger Doctors would have.

I SO want him to do this. It's not the actor in the role that would have this effect, whether they're young or old they can still dump the bowtie in disgust. Whatever the age of the actor, the Doctor remains the same age. It's his personality which changes and personally I want him to really hate the bowtie.

I hated the bow tie, so I hope he does too, lol.

I can see him with a waist-coat, but beyond that, I'm not sure. I also like the idea of scruffy academic, just not cords.
