Steven Moffat has confirmed that Doctor 12 will be wearing clothes. He was asked "What will the new Doctor be wearing?"

His answer: "Clothes. Anything else would be too shocking".

I can actually imagine him wearing a white doctor's coat, maybe a grey suit underneath!
If not I could imagine him wearing a scarf or glasses. It would be interesting actually if during one incarnation of the Doctor, his costume has throwbacks to the others, and maybe the 50th would be the time to do it?

A long leather overcoat with black clothing underneath. It would mirror the fact that he has been affected by the events if the 50th and Christmas special .. A dark and p*##ed off doctor ...

That's why I chose their Ace Attorney 5 costumes, because they are more elaborate than the prior games. Edgeworth is similar to Doctor 3, which is why they came to mind in the first place

I'd love him to wear a cloak

How about a plain white suit, like the one in the Alec Guinness film? It would stand out
given all the other Doctors chose outfits of varying colours. They'd have to avoid
shooting him against white backgrounds though....

Something cool and edging on menacing. No bowties. A battered leather jacket?

With a white scarf - give him a fly boy look. Look at me, I fly a TARDIS!

(Don't blame me, I live next to Nellis AFB and they just flew over my house!)

An expensive suit, a mobile phone and the demeanour of a rabid pitbull.

It's very hard for me to imagine Peter Capaldi any other way.

Thinking on it, I think many of the character costumes from the Ace Attorney series are fancy enough for cosplayers and toys, but not too far from realism for a character.

I vote for # 4. I like the idea of the walking stick.

And they would also need about 50 copies of the suit, because it wouldn't stay clean looking for more than 5 minutes during filming!

I can imagine him in a long dark blue velvet coat, dark blue trousers and blue striped shirt.

Number 2 and 6 could work well.

I saw a picture of Ben Whishaw in The Zero Theorem with a scarf and funny hair and that is what a Doctor should look like.

What about the police box, does anyone think there might be a new prop for the new doctor? I cant see the console room changing again anytime soon but the police box prop may be altered!

He'd actually look good in Time Lord robes. Not practical for his line of work, though.

I can't see anything they could change the prop to
(new TARDIS forms like a rubbish bin or electrical box would be problematic, especially if small kids wanna play
DW on one of them ). And it'd be odd to see the TARDIS change form every story. Let's stick with the
police box.

I think they mean an alteration similar to when Matt took over. They changed the windows, the shade of blue, and they added the Ambulance sticker,

The TARDIS has changed a number of times, while maintaining the police box image.

I can see the 12th Doctor maybe wearing a thin green jumper with leather elbow patches and maybe a shirt underneath. Kinda like a crazy Maths/Geography teacher

I dunno. Matt's Doctor basically went for the "eccentric
teacher" image. They'll hafta do something different.

Peter Capaldi reminds me of Edward Tenpole Tudor.

I would like colourful and flamboyant garb for the Doctor.

And I think there should be leather riding boots involved.
