Regardless, it probably wasn't Hazel's finest hour but the amount of stick she got over it was ridiculous. Thankfully more people are seeing different sides to her now

I disagree with the OP in several aspects regarding Hazel and mainly about her motives, rose coloured specs no less.

She did mess up big time in the beginning, she was slutty as someone else said.

Why has she changed? Because there are no men she fancies anymore, she has said she is bored because of it and dislikes all her housemates.

She hasn't changed out of some reawakening goodness, she has awoke because she has been booed every week since Daley left, needs to amend the way she presents herself and I bet the moment a fanciable bloke would have walked in, we would get a repeat of it all again because she doesn't care who, anyone halfway decent would be fair game for them to have sex on TV and to further her career in lads mags.

So sorry, Saint Hazel doesn't do it for me, if she hadn't been like it in the first place, she just might have got through, face it, she is only there because of twists and Callums dire behaviour, nothing she has done herself.

So, again, why did Hazel admit to knowing he had a girlfriend? You didn't answer the question. It isn't uncertain if she knew.

Because when someone tells you they have a girlfriend one moment, and tells you they'd actually broke up another time it becomes less clear......

Any guy who was unsure about his relationship status, I'd run a mile from, not into bed with.

She was aware there was a girlfriend situation, because he mentioned her numerous times, her fellow HMs mentioned it numerous times and they were both warned about crossing the line numerous times. Hazel doesn't strike me as naive, so she must have been perfectly aware that their actions could be perceived badly, but she still pursued him all the same.

Yes, I agree - that is why I say wasn't her finest hour, I think she made a mistake. She's not perfect and no one claims she is. Not going to say any more on that now as we're in danger of sidetracking the thread completely!

y'see I don't have any problem with her fancying blokes , I really don't see anything wrong with it .

I find it odd that so many people want Gina to win when she is so obviously phoney and playing a game.”

Phoney for what? They're all playing a game it'sa gameshow! Saying she is fake? I keep hearing this yet people come up with made up shit about why she is. Because she dislikes Hazel?

Hazel disliked her from day one with sallie and co.

Anyways I like both and hope they both make the final.

We need rid of Charlie, twins and Sophie!

Daley told Hazel in conversation when they were in garden that his girlfriend said she was not his girlfriend any more. Just before he told her (he was worried what people would think about he and hazel had done) he said let me be honest with you. I am always honest in everything I say to you.

Hazel has shown no regret for her part in the Daley thing. She actively chased and cavorted with Daley, knowing full well he had a girlfriend on the outside who was probably heart-broken. Despite being told by Gina and Dex how she must be coming across on the TV) she carried on regardless.. She's shown a very cocksure "couldn't give f*ck" attitude which shows she couldn't care less about what she did and how her actions may have affected Daley's girlfriend.

Because she has shown no regret, I will not forgive her and she deserves to get evicted. You can't forgive someone who's shown no regret for their actions.

As annoying as Dan could be, he was certainly a good judge of character, and it think it says something about her that he showed unwavering loyalty to her all the way through, even when he discovered she was unpopular and could be harmful by association.

Then there was the Daley romance situation. I think she let herself down here, only because her flirtation was at times a little desperate. I think she needs to see that she has a lot to offer, beyond her looks. In her defence, I think she was just bored and wanted some fun - what is BB for after all? (As an aside, have we even seen two housemates kiss this series? This is all so tame compared to say, Makosi with Anthony in the pool back in the day.)

I don't see why she should be vilified for the Daley girlfriend situation. It was Daley's call to say whether he wanted to continue the relationship or not, if anyone should be vilified it is him. And at times he was claiming that he was single. Why isn't Dexter vilified for ditching his girlfriend in pursuing Charlie? He is a favourite - clearly a sexist double standard among the public that I would like to see challenged with a turnaround for Hazel.

Also let's remember that she was VOTED INTO THE SAFEHOUSE. Like a good housemate, she flirted with a little spice in the house. The producers and public wanted some action in there, yet Hazel (and not Daley) is vilified for delivering the goods.

Regarding the 'aggressive' situation, she didn't play the victim which I thought was honourable, considering that she did consider it to be 'playfighting' in the moment. She didn't badmouth Daley (though I wouldn't blame her if she did) and didn't brand him a villain for her gain, choosing to move on without fussing or even telling to housemates until she was forced into it. Not attention seeking and not one for fuelling the house with drama or idle gossip.

I also respect her A LOT for not becoming a walker. So many others have walked for far less. Compare her with say, Orlaith from BB6, also a model. Hazel is everything Orlaith was not. Naturally beautiful, intelligent and holds her head high, refusing to crack under the pressure. And especially knowing that there must be a huge furore outside over Daley's removal with her at the centre, I respect her for having the guts to see it through to the end. Even with all the shit thrown at her last week with the gunging, the ranking and the snake outfit. Even with BB hanging her out to dry, she showed she's a tough cookie and not a quitter, despite not enjoying it much with her best friend Dan gone and little stimulation from anyone else.

Finally, I find Hazel to be one of the nicest in the house, with no outward nastiness and no hidden agenda. She put up with childish, one-sided nastiness from Gina and rarely seemed to let it phase her, even going out of her way to carry on being civil to Gina and engaging with her (see the scene where Gina dressed Charlie from the closet - Hazel is heard in the background trying to get involved and complimenting Gina but Gina just ignores her). Has she ever been actively and outwardly nasty like Gina? Has she ever goaded anybody like Dexter did to Callum? (I do like Gina and Dexter by the way - but I find it strange that, say, Gina is a hero for 'keeping it real' with her irrational hatred of Hazel, while Hazel, who is more dignified, is unpopular.) Is Hazel desperate to be liked and to win like Charlie? No. She has said openly that she would like to win and could use the money, but doesn't expect it. She is honest about wanting more modelling work afterwards. She doesn't talk shit. She doesn't even bitch much really, nothing like the bitching and two-facedness from many of the others. She has dealt with the public reaction to her commendably well.

Overall, I am amazed that she has been so level-headed and resilient throughout this whole thing. She's gotten involved, she's been interesting, and she hasn't meant any harm towards anyone. She is, on the whole, well liked by her housemates and hasn't done anything nasty, unlike many others. I am probably unrealistic in hoping she wins, but I do hope she exits to cheers. I'll be voting for her repeatedly as she's a nice girl - and girls should be supported and celebrated more in Big Brother.

Sorry for the essay, just had to put that out there! Wonder if anyone will agree! ”

Don't be silly. It takes two to tango, as they say. She knew full well he wasn't single and they both knew it was wrong. Infidelity is never forgivable. It's disrespectful, which is an abhorrent quality.

crikey must have taken you ages
But absolutely brilliant post, with everything in it too - and one of the most important things about Hazel in all of this is that Dan, who was the most perceptive person in the house, and susses people out the good guys from the bad, and down right deceptive, does this for a living (or did for 10years?) and he befriended Hazel ---out of all of the HMs he was the closest to her, and that to me, says it all. He used to protect our families, our children from bad guys, and HE became best friends with Hazel, and that is good enough for me, as I thought Dan (although rather excitable at times) was a good all round nice bloke and I trust his judgement, and he'd be good for Hazel as a friend on the outside to straighten her out on a few things

Regret ? It is impossible for people without a conscience to show regret. Please show some empathy.

I never liked her much when she was Sallie's best mate. But I made up my mind for definite when Gina confronted her about her VT. Hazel's eyes told Gina there and then that the game was on.
