So it's your first Mac?
Wow, you're really jumping into the deep-end there cost-wise!

I'd say:
1. Learn the multi-touch gestures as fast as you can and get comfortable with those.
2. Start saving for a Thunderbolt display to complement your Macbook
3. Start frequenting some websites/forums that specialise on Mac - they will always have those obscure gems you won't find elsewhere.

Apps: Try divvy.

The Forum at MacRumours is, more often than not, more useful/helpful than the official Apple forum.

Yeah got it loving it. Trying to work my way round it.
Managed to set up my pop email which took ages.

Will check MacRumours site out. Can see it taking a while to get use to but it's the best laptop I have used so far
