Apparently and according to the daily mail Paul Hollywood will not be joining Strictly. He has "reportedly" asked for an extra £15000.

Personally, I'd have given into him as I think he'd be quite a big name for the show, but good on the producers for proving no-one is bigger than the show!

I guess the attractions of this guy has completely bypassed me as I don't watch his programme....Completely baffled why he is such a hot shot!!!... and housewives' favourite (according to various articles months ago!!!)

You're not alone. I'd never heard of him before he was mentioned on DS & the only thing I've seen about him in the papers is the way he's cheated on his wife. Came across as a right sleazeball, don't see how he could be any 'housewive's' favourite.

If you'd watched 'The Great British Bake off' you'd prob know why he was such a favourite with the Ladies, including me I have to say....However.....Leaving his wife for some American woman he met whilst filming the American Version of the prog. meant he went from Hero to Zero in seconds with the majority...I'd had of never thought it of him....but goes to show.....ya never know to ya ....What a PRATT !!!! ....Glad he's NOT doing SCD.....

People's marriages break down all of the time. I don't think we should judge him or out on our moral crusader caps unless we're personally involved. People in happy marriages rarely have affairs, after all.

According to his Agent he hasn't been dropped because he was never in to begin with. They asked if he would take part at the beginning of the year and he declined because of work commitments. The Daily Mail has taken a dislike to him and basically makes up stories about him. Every so often Paul will say on Twitter that the latest story in the DM is a load of ********!

He did a demonstration at this thing in my town yesterday, and he said that this was basically a load of rubbish, and that he couldn't do it because of other contractual things with the BBC with other shows he's doing in the autumn.

Ah, its the silly season for 'news.' Take it all with a pinch of salt!
