Unlocking Galaxy s2 on T-mobile
Just come to end of contract on my Galaxy s2. Not ready to upgrade handset, but want a better deal than tmobile can offer for sim only. Virgin's 30day unlimited sim for £15/month looks ideal... but:
T-mobile want £20.42 to unlock the handset. I've never been charged for unlocking an out-of-contract handset before - seems crazy, and a bit immoral, so 1 - how can I unlock cheaper/free - without rooting, if possible?.. or 2- as Virgin uses EE's network, do I actually need to unlock it if I'm moving from T-mobile? |

If you're ok to do root (easy enough) use Chainfires unlock programme.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1092451 He provides the app for free on that thread. |

Its worth trying it first with the Virgin sim card. I've known T-Mobile locked phones to work on Virgin without needing to be unlocked.

I have a Galaxy S2 on T-Mobile. I used this lot: http://www.unlockcode4u.com/ Got the code within half an hour and it worked perfectly. |
