I forgot to add Alfie Moon earlier. Absolutely hate the character. Agree with the users who have said that Shane Richie is playing himself.
I can't help but wonder if Phils going to die in this car crash, and Peggy comes back for the funeral. It would be amazing if they had kept that quiet, and I actually like Steve McFadden and wish they'd use him a bit more and hope he doesn't die, but I do feel the show needs shaking up. Is there any confirmation he definitely doesn't die?

I really hope he has the guts to axe ALL the Brannings including Bianca and kids....Carol & Dot can stay. Also axe Phil...let him die in the crash...he's way past his sell by date. And while he has the axe in his hand he could get rid of Ava her son and bf...also a good few of the teens...as it's getting more like HO weekly.

Kirkwood axed Charlie Slater, Minty Peterson, Libby Fox, Liz Turner, Adam Best, Danny Mitchell and Leon Small. He later axed Billie Jackson.
I think AJ, Tamwar, Joey and Shirley will go. I would like to see Sharon go. She doesn't fit in any more and her acting as a drug addict was awful. I'd also like Lucy to go but that probably won't happen for now.

I think he also axed Jean but she was later given a reprieve and returned

On the fence about Poppy, Tamwar and Masood.
I don't think, personally, that Kirsty, Carl, Sam, Dexter or Ava could be axed as they are all pretty knew, I think DTC would try and make them work.

I think Ava is a great character and the actress is very good, but I think Dexter brings her down, because the character talks too fast and just isn't good in my view. This is why Ava will go in my opinion. Sam will go to if Ava and Dexter go, because there will be no use for him.

yeah people who think Phil, Shirley etc will go are dreaming. Whether you like the characters or not, the powers that be clearly rate the characters, so their futures are secured as long as the actors still want to do it.

You're right no way they will sack some long standing characters like those.
I think Fat Boy Poppy Tamwar and Joey is a start there is to much focus on young characters, and it needs to get away from these god dam relationships.
Some of the older characters Shirley Kat and Kim should be killed off for ever.

I have a feeling that Cora is very safe.
With the departure of Pat & Peggy (and Mo hardly appears these days) EE are decidedly down on older matriarch characters, they only have Dot left. Cora is supposed to be the replacement.
They keep featuring her heavily so I think the EE writers rate her. I cant see Cora going anywhere.

Phil and Shirley should be married. They were a strong couple until some idiot decided to split them up.
I really hope Phil and Sharon don't become an item because it will be history repeating itself for the hundredth time.

I think he should axe:
Poppy - Pointless, irritating character... Doesn't add anything special to the show and I find her acting/ personality tedious to watch!
Fatboy - He has been on the show for a good couple of years now, and I feel his time is up and he should leave.
Kirsty - Why did they have to bring in another of Max's women? We had Stacey, Vanessa and now Kirsty! Major bore fest as others have stated on this forum! It's definitely time to start fresh new with something different and not about affairs etc.
Alice - She is another who doesn't add anything towards the viewing or the show itself, her character isn't special and doesn't have any redeeming features. She just plain irritates me to be blunt.
Whitney - Now that Tyler has left and although the episode of her and Kat was good, I can't see a strong friendship working with Whitney and Kat. I think now would be her time to leave and perhaps move away to start a new life.
AJ - Another pointless character introduced, and nothing has been done with him since he joined. He is just a background character wasting screen time!
Tamwar - He has become redundant without Zainab and now Afia has gone, they should give him the boot too - The Masood family doesn't work without Zainab.
Masood - I think they should now axe him as well... I find his relationship with Carol tedious and a bore to watch..
Roxy - I have heard she is leaving soon with Ronnie, who is returning for a short stint. She has no purpose without Ronnie behind her.
Billy Mitchell - I have grown so tired of his pointless presence on the show, and he is always a doormat. He constantly patters to Janine's commands, and his relationship with Lola was terrible. PLEASE GET RID!
I think he should bring back:
Peggy - Try to get Barbara Windsor back for a year contract... She is brilliant and a true legend.
Zoe Slater - Definitely a recast... I think it could work really well if the casting is done carefully.
Little Mo - Bring her back to give Kat some structure and she needs her sister for support
Other things he should do:
Bring in a new family on the Square - A young couple, with three children: Two boys and a girl.
Put Sharon back in the Queen Vic - It is where she should be! (Forget the past with Den dying there)

Totally agree with the above except Poppy and Masood.
I loved Whitney last week but not sure where they can take her now.
I would add Alfie, Sam, Lucy, Lauren & possibly Dexter to that list too.

I agree with the BIB. I'd like to see Cora and Kim go but would keep Kirsty.
