Does anyone think this is one of the worst storyline's ever.

I mean I'm loving ED at the minute but this is just awful, I just fast forward through all this crap.

I just keep wishing the carjacker will come back and finish Laurel off.

Laurel scissorhands on the warpath, please just let it end!

Spoiler
A nervous but determined Laurel confronts Ross. Aware of the scissors, he realises that she means business.

You can't help but chuckle really

Why did she think that the guy who went to the cafe was her attacker.

It's only terrible because laurel is involved. Nobody wants to see that silly cow running around accusing everyone of attacking her (she wasn't even attacked she got car jacked) like a lunatic with no proof!

Section her!

Or just kill her. I don't mind

She thinks she is super important , like no one has ever being "attacked " before ...off course there was no attack because he didnt touch her ....

She is so precious and fragile in her preatty summer dresses ...Oh Marlon do something ...make Cain tell ...you can do it ...Cain wont bater you we promise .......

Here is an idea , stick Laurel in the boot and push the car over a nice cliff ....

Its bringing the show down. I hate seeing Marlon and Laurel together. EW

It had a lot of potential in the beginning but at the moment it's written really badly - we are meant to feel sorry for Laurel but I don't think anyone does, or at least not to a great extent.

Such a boring storyline. I used to quite like Laurel, now I hate her. It might have been somewhat interesting if a different character played the part - Laurel has just made it awful.
And then there's the Rhona/Vanessa/Paddy merry go round. Ugh.
The Debbie, Cameron, Chas and Cain story is the only one that's actually entertaining.

Wouldn't it be terrible if
Spoiler
Cain mistook Laurel for Cameron next week?
We can but dream.

Seriously, though. How is it possible to have a character go through what looked like a traumatic, frightening experience and yet make them so unsympathetic?

I used to like Laurel but now she's getting on my nerves accusing innocent men of being her car jacker. When will this end?

Of course she was attacked. Because she wasn't physically injured doesn't make it less traumatic.

I don't like Laurel, I could care less about her and I certainly don't want Ashley to give her the time of the day after the way he treated her. However At least this storyline shows that violence affects people. Sure it's OTT, but it's still more realistic than Chas getting over being abducted, having a shotgun shoved in her face and mentally tortured after just a good night of sleep. Seeing Dobbeh the next day at the pub as if nothing happened.

ED needs to sort out to how they portray violence and how it affects the characters.

I hope she gets Cameroned just to put an end to this storyline.

I'm annoyed that now Marlon is going to enable her insanity by getting Cain to track down the culprit.

Never mind getting her some kind of counselling to get over the trauma, far more sensible to play amatuer detective and try an find him.

On balance, it probably isn't one of Emmerdale's best storylines, but it is giving Charlotte Bellamy a chance to prove she can do more than just moon after Marlon for endless episodes.

I don't understand why they are doing this storyline. Are they trying to make me dislike them more? Everytime they come on screen I want it to stop

After everything Laurel has been through - losing a baby, being terrorised for months by a psychopath - now she falls apart?

Of course those things happened to a very different Laurel. She is now a deeply unlikeable character.

Anyone remember this story line ...I don't seem to remember Laurel going doo lally over it. And in this one shes left to burn to death in the church

Ashley is asked to captain a local cricket team against his rival, Reverend Vincent Spode (Antony Byrne). Ashley reveals that he hates Vincent for stealing his ideas for a thesis at university and his girlfriend, Sally (Siān Reeves), to whom Vincent is now married. Sally later turns up at the vicarage with her bags, having left Vincent. Ashley allows her to stay for as long as she needs. When Vincent learns where Sally is, he hits Ashley, who starts to believe he has also been bullying Sally. Bishop George insists Sally and Vincent go for counselling, but Sally returns with a black eye and Ashley allows her to stay again. A fire is started in the church and Laurel becomes trapped, she is rescued by Ashley and Zak Dingle. Laurel becomes convinced Sally started the fire and when Ashley refuses to believe her, she and the children leave.

Eventually Ashley realises that he wants his family back. However, Sally reveals that she and Ashley are having an affair. Ashley denies this, but he is still suspended from the church. Sally later accuses him of sexual assault. Edna Birch (Shirley Stelfox) and Bishop George doubt Ashley's innocence until Sally admits she lied. She wrecks Ashley's house and leaves.

Just don't get me started on this pathetic SL, if you read ED past & present you will know why

I don't mind this storyline, mainly because Charlotte is playing it really well and with other actresses it wouldn't work as well...plus I think giving Laurel something dramatic is entirely necessary as her and Marlon being (unconvincingly) loved up for the best part of a year is sickening, vile TV....

However, 3 reasons not to like it, from least to biggest:

1) There is a sense of a over reaction about the whole thing. Not sure old Laurel would do this. Saying that, morally she would probably think like that...

2) Obviously, the character of Laurel has been made entirely detestable via the unconvincing break-up with Ashley and the nightmare inducing "Maurel". Therefore, I'm not feeling as sorry for her as I should.

But most of all:

3) I absolutely HATE how this is all going to be blamed entirely on Rhona and there will be all sorts of "worthy" rants, especially from Marlon (and Laurel herself) about what Rhona's done blah blah blah and no doubt this will all happen at the same time as the ultimate reveal with Paddy etc. Now obviously Rhona's addiction is the reason Laurel was there, but NO ONE could predict this and it ultimately could happen anywhere. Yes hate Rhona a bit...but I can just picture and hear the oh so patronizing and "wronged" speeches from these two already, and I can't bear it, to the point where I hope Rhona pops another pill, smiles and tells them to go f*ck themselves.
