Why don't you look at the 'Whats for dinner tonight' thread and get some ideas on there. It's what I always do when I'm stuck.

As I'm dishing out the evening meal I have the next day on my mind! If I wake during the night I'm on my iPhone looking at recipes! You're right, it's a constant nightmare - especially as hubby eats fish/ meat & I'm veggie. I try and make one thing in common like pasta - but he loves pilaf and I love potatoes.
Well tonight the common carb will be giant Cous Cous made in a tabbouleh style. Hope you're well QS - I always remember you from the other BB forum. (gma)

As for the cupboards, everything, I don't lack ingredients, just ideas. I'm sure something will come to me later - or it's beans on toast!

You've got a bigger dilemma than me - 2 meals, I'm struggling with 1
![]() I've tried making cous cous once, I don't have the knack for it, And hi, of course I remember you xx![]() I find Cous Cous best when you - pour the amount of Cous Cous into a Pyrex bowl - crumble over a favoured stock cube ( veg, chicken etc) add a dash of preferred oil - then cover with boiling water, cover again with cling film. Microwave on full for 5 mins, stir/mix with a little oil - then microwave in 1 minute increments until cooked. Leave to half cool then add a bit of oil - stir - then let cool again. When cooled, stir again and add little oil of choice ( not a lot - enough to loosen the grains) allow to cool & add herbs etc. Love QS btw - ((hug))

Aww thanks UG, the feeling is mutual
![]() Thanks for the cous cous tip, when I'm feeling brave I'll attempt it. In the meantime, I'll stick to tried and tested methods; rice, potatoes and bread
