Tommorrow hopefully I'm going too try and catch a mum and 3 kittens. Mum was left behind when the lady's neighbours moved, she was either pregant before or after she was left . I think the kittens are about 6 wks old. A grey and white and two black and whites the mum is white I think. There are builders next door and they was going too phone the RSPCA up but there not now because we are going down, they most likely would have been pts as they might be feral and I will never let that happen. I know I am full but I just couldn't leave these little ones outside any longer. I only found on on Sunday though. So wish me luck please. You will probably all hear swearing where ever you are. They can be realy fast at that age

The. Mum is used too dogs. They had two that bark constantly. RSPCA nd dog warden was no help. It's a genuine abandonment as well as its in a family memebers garden. If I can catch mum she will most probably be staying, but I will be at some point rehoming the kittens . I've already thought of a name for mum Dolly

Put of interest op, how will you rehome the kittens if they are feral? If they are past of the socialisation period?

They are. I think around 6wks possibly 5 wks. Mum isn't feral so when I catch her she will come here but I won't leave the babies alone. I have got other ferals I have tamed as well.

Lol my post should of said 'out' not 'put' stupid iPad.

I was genuinely interested, the few feral kittens we've had in have never come to be socialised unless we get them really tiny. But then we don't have the time to spend 24/7 with them. Good luk!

When one of our neighbours did that I started feeding them all until she began to trust me to handle her kittens. I then rang the RSPCA to come and collect them - the woman who answered the phone was quite snotty at first, thinking they were mine- but when I explained what had happened someone came the next day and took them.

I had to sign a form to say that I was handing them over, as apparently there's some legal loophole and she could sue me for handing over her property. That may have changed though.

I went down but couldn't catch them but everybody knows we are trying to catch them. There is 3 kittens and mum but she hangs around with a pregant cat too. I know exactly where there are sleeping but they was closing up and I couldn't stay any longer. I am going too try again on Friday as the person I usually loan my traps from hasn't any there all out. I won't be able too buy till Tuesday at the earliest but won't get it too Thursday. I can't just leave them there

You can socialise feral kittens to the point of happy home domestication. It can take weeks and weeks of patience and time but it can be done. We've 'adopted' a feral who is currently curled around my husbands foot on the sofa. There's 6 more kittens in my garden aged roughly between 6 & 11/12 weeks - two of them now let me stroke them. The others aren't so sure but they do follow me around the garden - I am the feeder! I have had to catch a couple of them a few times to get them to the vets so they're also wary of that but we're getting there!

Hopefully getting a trap on Tuesday well Wednesday for delivery if I have enough money. I will Catch these I know I'm blooming determined too. I know mother is tame but the little ones will need socialization . My worst one was smokey who even now hates been picked up but I can stroke him. That's why it's important too get them now rather then when there older

Not quiet sure there's a 3 rd kitten. But did see one of them on the road before we trapped it. It's in a gained area where there's only access via houses. I was told if anybody finds kittens or strays they would chase them or hurt the too. I just could stay any longer. I need too get bck too the others even though they was been looked after and the dogs too. I did see a heavly pregnant cat too but it would go in the trap at all. If I could have trapped it I would have taken it too. Still tired was ump watching till at least 3am too

Hello Maisey Moo...
I homed a feral kitten at roughly 10 weeks and he is a naughty but very very loving family member these days. He has attacked full grown geese and often brings home pram toys as 'presents' but we all love him so much. [I don't even want to think where he gets them lol]
Good luck

I put a box in there cage with a hole cut in side. They came out for food when no humans was around but when I went in they run and hid. Mum is realy friendly and she lets you stroke her, I always name the cats wether keeping or rehoming I feel they need an identity . Mum is called Evie. And the kittens are called Socks and Shadow. I post piciures when the kittens come out but there very fluffly
