It's going to have to be plausible for her to just abandon Roy and Hayley out of the blue. As others have said on other threads is that she decides to give them both space but its still a stretch. Hayley needs Sylvia as much as Roy as his way of dealing with things isn't always great. Unavoidable though I suppose.

Oh thats a shame, I really like Sylvia and its a shame she had to leave in the middle of a storyline. I hope Stephanie Cole gets better soon

No, because Stephanie Cole took ill suddenly, and the writing team had to come up with an excuse for Sylvia's sudden absence. She hasn't quit or been axed.

I'm sure she'll be back when she's well enough.

It's a real shame Stephanie has fallen poorly, I am sure she'd have loved to have seen this story through. Her health and well being are the most important thing, I hope she gets well soon.
