People that have died offscreen,
there is always a way around these things, all it needs is a bit of brain power!

Name a character who you would bring back from the dead and how?

Little Willy is alive and living in Barbados

On a serious note, Kathy was wrongly identified in the car crash

I wouldn't.

Focus on new characters.

The show has lost nearly all iconic 80s roots, there is a few to nothing,

Angie: Dead
Den: Dead
Lou Beale: Dead, could have left in 2013
Pete Beale: Dead
Arthur: Dead
Kathy: Dead

All of which was a silly mistake, as nearly all of them were still alive, and to answer your question, these days new characters do not stick around long enough to be iconic, we don't watch them grow old anymore because they up and leave, they are not passionate about staying!

I wouldn't.

Bringing Den back, despite being left open when he originally left stretched credibility too much.

The truth is, for those of us who have watched from the start, I don't think the programme will ever have the same impetus that it had in its early day. You can't resurrect something that made its impact once. Same as Dallas, Dynasty etc.

The Kathy thing could have been easily remedied by a staged crash and death as part of a scam by her husband. It wouldn't have taken a great deal to find a dodgy copper in South Africa I'm sure who would have helped them out.

Can't really think of too many others that died off screen that I would welcome back to be honest.

Kathy could have been in witness protection all these years

Pete Beale is another one who had an ofscreen death involving cars!

Pete Beale wasn't the most exciting character back then but I was sorry to see him go

awe Pete Beale - yes I was also sad. He always asked for a sherbert in true East end style

I remember that as vividly as I remember Kath's knitting machine

And Pete's silver tankard!

I don't want dead people back but I'd choose Cindy or Kathy. As for onscreen death, I'd choose Pauline but obviously impossible

oh yes one thing I'll say about him he could do angry. When Kathy was raped by Dermott think that's who it was, the acting from both he and Gillian was outstanding.

Same for me - as far as I am concerned once they are dead they are dead. Even if we didn't see it on screen, it rarely makes any sense at all for it to have been faked as they wouldn't put their families through the grief,

I remember that well! He also had some classics rows with Arthur

None its Sunset Beach enough with Ronnie returning.
At least with Den first time they deliberately made it ambiguous hence Julia and Tony leaving in protest. At the time the public wondered if he was alive.

Paul Truman in witness protection, Patrick was so overcome with grief he mistakenly identified someone else as Paul as the body was barely recognisable.

Andy Hunter didn't really die, he landed on a truck carrying hay.

Would love to see Paul back now, Witness Protection would have been plausible, the "hitman who drove him away" could have been a undercover cop, Andys dead, Johnnys dead, and it would give Patrick more to do!

Paul could of told Patrick to identify a similar dead body as his afterwards.

A Zombie virus. Then you can rename the show "DeadEnders" .
