Are you actually serious? Do you honestly believe they will end the programme because of something that was first said in Tom Baker's era? Also Capaldi is technically the thirteenth incarnation because of John Hurt.

We don't know how all that's going to work out yet.

If the OP is 14 years old, then he is a member of the children who watch the show and should be listened to as much as anyone else.
But lately ive wondered how many under 14 year olds actually watch it these days.
Sometimes i think the diehards have taken it over to the exclusion of all others?

There are not 7 million diehards. It would appear that as many 14 year olds watch the show as ever did.

Before he even starts I hope he does at least 5 years and the same amount of series. Im also hoping he is regenerated at the end of the 50th after some of Matt's comments... and John Hurt's ...and I am a big fan of Matt's Doctor. I think this is going to be special. It is the next Doctor after that who will have a hard act to follow for sure

Well, I think you're wasting your time telling people that they're wasting their time telling people not to waste their time.

Sorry.

David Tennant had the same superfan credentials and he still only did 3 and-a-bit series like 99% of the other actors.

I'd like to see 12 do a more rounded 4-5 series stint, but I'm beginning to think that'll never happen to be honest.

I reckon Capaldi will only do three series and regenerate in 2016. That would make it the 50th anniversary of the first regeneration.

Why say this you haven't seen him in the role yet. You may hate it and I may love it ( I doubt that though)

It's a pity he isn't a bit thin on top because we could call him

Peter Cabaldi.

Off course I can say it. I'm willing to give the bloke a chance, unlike certain others on here. I doubt I will hate him, don't hate any Doctor.
