I wonder why? We had all kind of people from diverse minorities winning.

Is this because of the usual token mixture of the house? One ethnic minority gets usually 1 max 2 people.

Endemol not picking the right people? Darren came quite far in BB1 so ... Dunno.

Any ideas?

I suppose we're not ready for it yet.

Some of us are even still using words like 'coloured'.

I would image you have managed to offend a lot of BLACK people by that statement.

Coloured people ffs.

Kenzie is half Indian (Asian) apparently. Ray, from BB4, was the same.

I couldn't care less what colour, sex, sexual preference, age, etc. etc. the winner of BB is, as long as they are the right winner.

I'll be kind to Doc here and suggest that perhaps he / she is of the age where saying coloured is still thought of as acceptable - like my mates grandad..

But I think the thread should be removed..

I imagine its only a matter of time before the wording is altered into a less offensive comment
Don't really thing age has much to do with it either just ignorance. Imo

As was Jade and Mel (BB1). Alison is black, as is Lee and Victor and Dean.

What's my prize? What's the point?

"Coloured", thats not PC.

No-one from an ethnic minority have won Big Brother (yet) because they haven't been the best housemates. Not a question of race - if they're not good enough to win they're not good enough to win. End of story.

The usual PC minefield ...

I wasn't aware that c.... was also on the list of non usable names.

Is that meant to be some sort of dig..?

If so you'll have to elaborate cos I don't see the relevance

Apart from the Tickle, who clearly should have beaten Cameron into the ground (metaphorically), and would have done too if it weren't for the stupidity of the voting public.

Don't slate the guy just for saying 'coloured' - it might not have been meant in the wrong context. It was a perfectly acceptable word at one point (I remember getting told off in a Geography class for referring to blacks and I was told to use the term coloured - that was in the early 1990's).

In 10 years time it might be considered offensive to use the term 'black' - I feel sorry for some old people who might not keep up with the changes in language and can wrongly be labelled as racist when they're not.

It's too easy to jump on the PC bandwagon sometimes.

Nadia was hardly whiter than white - so we've had a hispanic winner.

Ah....the subject of race has been raised....quick...silence it by saying "political correctness" as much as possible...that'll make a difficult and complex issue vanish in a simple two word phrase...
