The overwhelming majority of BB viewers are racist on some level.

A few are out & out racists and proud of it. The majority, as we have seen on this thread, would hate being labelled in this way. Nevertheless they sub-consciously have racist attitudes and views which effect the way they live their life & treat others. The report into London's Met police comes to mind.

I would put the figure at 90% across the UK & that is reflected amongst BB viewers. Of course they'll deny it. That's a lot easier than asking themselves a few honest questions.

I can understand that Lisa wasn't particularly liked. I accept that she was often bitchy & often sly. What I can't accept is the level of abuse, vitriol & poison posted about Lisa on various BB discussion boards.

It was way OTT. John was a far more objectionable ass, yet he was spared this level of abuse & turned into some sort of cult figure etc. Jeremy was a far bigger bitch than Lisa. Yet, he too, was spared her treatment. As was Jackie, who ended up being treated like a folk-hero. Caprice was really sly & underhand but that was largely ignored.

Now what is it about Lisa that makes her different?

It's perfectly possible to "care" about racism and still feel that your assumptions and estimates are potentially way off beam.

YES, racism exists in the UK. YES, those who prioritize racinated discrimination may well be included amongst those who in BB. YES, some may well negatively discriminate against an HM due to that HMs race; some way well positively discriminate due to an HMs race.

To pull a figure of 90% out of the air seems bizarre, however. As many have said, there are many other, generally it appears more prevalent character and personality factors (just look at the boards to see the level of importance they are given), which determine peoples' support/lack thereof of an HM.
