Anyone any ideas about what is going to happen with Ashley?

We just seem to see him with a couple of one liners and then he disappears.
Poor old Ashley. I do hope he gets something positive in Emmerdale before long.

I don't see where the writers can take Ashley. I personally hope he will be written out.

Ashley was never charged with anything, he just had a breakdown, caused by his wife's infidelity, and resigned his living. There is no reason why he cannot return to the church now that he has recovered,

I'd like him to return to the church and find a new girlfriend, who makes Laurel jealous. Then Laurel can beg Ashley to take her back and he just laughs in her face

They should bring back mad-Sally for him, now he's free of that wicked, scissor-wielding harridan Laurel.

Incidentally I was nearly arrested early this morning, only popped out for a pint of milk & a paper too.

There I was, minding me own business like - when apparently Laurel saw me & was convinced it was me who had car-jacked her - the old bill said not to worry, I'm merely the 756,877th bloke the lunatic has accused so far.

You shouldn't wear your black hoodie and balaclava to nip to the paper shop, (although I imagine that's probably a kindness).

Apparently OJ, the attacker was an incredibly handsome chap - so it was probably an easy mistake to make.

LOL , at least I was spared a right thumping from that street-tough Marlon (not to mention a ruddy good jabbing from those scissors) - thankfully for me buddy, he was busy walking Daisy at the time, otherwise I doubt I'd be here to tell the tale now.

But he was totally crap at being a vicar. He has since admitted it. HE was happy with his nice house in his nice village, doing nothing

I thought he made a good vicar.
Why do you say this ? What did he do that impressed you ?

He was a very kind vicar and spent a lot of time visiting his sick parishioners, listening to people's problems and trying to advise them. Laurel was always whingeing about him missing his tea 'cos he was out doing good work.

So do I.
They don't seem to use Jude much either.
There doesn't seem to be much "church based activity now either and we don't see much of Edna doing her church work either.

I cannot understand all this love for the worst vicar in Christendom.
Would anyone like to recall any highlights from any of his sermons

And conversely, doing all those things doesn't make you a bad vicar.

Fortunately, most soaps tend not focus on vicars' sermons because, (go figure), they wouldn't exactly be ratings winners.

I maintain that before Ash collapsed under the vicious blows of the Random ED Personality Changer, he was a perfectly acceptable vicar. And all credit to him that he has been there, done that and come out the other side all the stronger for it.
