People ask all the time for this character to return but I always found her to be a medicore character. No offence to the actress but she did nothing for the character either and yet she always won best actress awards and gets lots of love on here. Was she really as good as people made out?

Lacey Turner was phenomenal in Eastenders and is one of the best actresses ever in EE.

Please tell me that your trolling. Lacey Turner was 50/50. When she was good she was excellent but when she was bad she was awful. Barbara Windsor is the greatest EE actress of all time.

Lacey Turner was a very good actress.

The best actress in EE was Sue Tully who was a brilliant actress, even though her character Michelle Fowler was a miserable moany moo.

Lacey is a good actress and the character used to be good too but they overused her and made her unlikeable. I wasn't sorry to see her go and I'm not in a hurry for her to return.

Lacey Turner did an OK job but Stacey was vastly overrated. I never understood the fascination with her and I didn't like the way they tried to make her into the Queen of the Square.

Stacey did have all the characteristics of a "strong" Walford woman, namely shreaking like a banshee, sleeping around, wrecking marriages, never accepting responsibility for her actions and leaving others to pick up the pieces.

Lacey turner is an outstanding actress and Stacey was an amazing character, one of the best! I don't want her to return that much though because I don't want them to ruin her like they did Kat, Sharon, Mandy etc.

I did like her at her best no one could touch her in any soap, but she wasn't so good near the end.

I do think they have moved lauren into Stacey territory now, but people on here are not so keen

I don't think Jacqueline Jossa can act half as good as Lacey Turner

Very, few people can, so hard and so true, and so naturalistic.

I loved Stacey from beginning to end, the key thing for me is just how many scenes stick with me to this day.

Found her very very over rated and was lucky to be involved in good storyline surround by good actors.

If she was such an phenomenal actresses why has her career been so limited since leaving the show?

No. Turner was amazing as Stacey and during the characters breakdown with the bipolar storyline was simply one of the best moments in EE.

HATED Stacey, she epitomized everything I hate in that sort of woman, rude, amoral, slutty, entitled and spiteful, I would hate it if she came back and would definately stop watching, she was overrated as a character and even got away with murder, she should have died slowly and horribly, not flown off to wherever Scot free, she even had Max slobbering after her at the airport begging to leave his family and go with her, but no, she just took her daughter whom she had with another woman's husband and broke up his marriage, only to desert him and ruin Janines life, don't get me started on Bradley!

Lacey Turner is an average actress who got lucky, watch "Bedlam" and she plays her character in that exactly the same as she played Stacey, same voice, everything, if she hadn't had the bipolar storylines to get her teeth into then she would never have won awards, very average actress.

And breathe

Stacey was a fabulous character, a real breath of fresh air. That was until they started dragging her into every episode and she (along with Ronnie) dominated the show. Turning Stacey into a murderer for no apparent reason was also a huge mistake.

Lacey had done well for herself when she left EastEnders

THIS! I hated Stacey, nasty cow. I also remember her being horrible to her mum and her supposed friend Danielle.

You know how you can tell she was just a one trick pony tptb overused because they knew she was popular? Because they barely gave the character friends. That way she could always have the stage with no one to steal her shine. She was isolated from her peers and only really had max has a friend that right there with evoke sympathy.

But the real sticking point was the amount of misery thrown at the character. If she wasn't going through some turmoil she didn't exist. How can a character not be able to function without misery? Everything stacey related had to be heavy handed or melodramatic. I am sorry but just because the writers are trying to manipulate viewers and the actress does screeching/crying well that doesn't make a great character.Stacey slater is the blueprint on how to manifacture a female character and make her popular. They attempted it with whitney but have now shifted that attention to lauren

Ha. Lacey Turner did an 'alright' job, then how do you explain the 4 Best Actress awards and the fact that she's won more awards than any other soap actor in any other British soap?

Stacey is legendary. She was a breath of fresh air for The Slaters and made the show what it was, for me, in all honesty. Gutted when she left.

Come back Stacey!

Using the number of soap awards an actor/ress has won as a gauge of talent is somewhat silly. Because many lightweights such as scott maslen have plaques while adam woodyatt (b4 his lifetime achievement award) haven't.And can you really say stacey slater is legendary? Iconic? Sure. Legendary? I don't think so. Without bianca/kat there is no stacey. And time still has to pass to determine what her legacy is.
