When will Dominic Treadwell-Collin's work take effect
Just a question. Do any of you guys know when DTC's work will start to take effect or when he starts producing EE. I'm just wondering because EE is a mess right now and I would imagine that he needs to fix a lot of errors.
Also what do you think DTC will add to the show and do you think he will be a good EP? |

His first ep will be October or so id imagine, his work will probably start in December and i mean just grass roots basic stuff and no major SLs, i think he will let the Christmas SL happen and then his stuff will start.
I think he will be on par with Santer, and will probably just what is needed for the 30th Anniversary. |

Depends if he re-writes material.
We know they're currently filming Phil's accident / Peggy's one-off return which I believe airs in Sept/Oct so it's not unrealistic to start seeing his name on the credits Oct/Nov. I'd imagine he'll want control of the Christmas episodes. |

I'd say mid-to late November we'll start seeing snippets of his work. Considering there's spoilers of LN's plots in September and October, I doubt he'd re-write then. I don't think he'll rewrite the Christmas plot, meaning we'll probably got LN stuff into early January, which is when we'll probably get full DTC stuff. But if you mean episodes/characters I'd probably say mid-to late November, but if you mean full on show runner, early January.
I think he'll be good for the show. But you never know, LN's autumn plots could be fantastic and then DTC could ruin it. You never really know. |

I think we both know LN and fantastic plots, don't belong in the same sentance:sleep:
I do seriously doubt it too, but it could end up happening.

Also, you never know if DTC is gonna be good. Yeah, he's done some work for the show before but he could of lost it. Remember LN has been with the show for 23 years, nearly most of the show's lifetime, through good and bad, and she didn't manage it.
I remember when everyone couldn't wait for her to start as the new EP, but she's made an utter mess and mockery of EastEnders. |

The new year.
He will appear on the credits around October or November time but this will simply mean he signed off on the episode to be sent to the BBC. It will still be Lorraine's work. I do have a feeling that Autumn will be good and we will all sit here saying...."If only she had done this months ago........" |

I believe the foundations of his sls will commence on January. But I've git a feeling that he will have to continue Lorraine sls in January Bcuz for Christmas she may have put down foundations for sls too. Well Definately we can say that we shall see hos work commence in late winter early spring.....DTC DO NOT DISSAPOINT! Frankly I ain't getting my hopes high just yet as in 2012 we all couldn't wait for Lorraine Newman to take over BK....

It definitely will not be before the New Year.
Scripts have been written for December now and he isn't even EP yet. Lorraine is there until the end of the month. So unless he demands re-writes (very unlikely) it'll be a while yet. |

Hopefully by the end of January his work will start to show. I think he'll be on the credits around Late October.
