??? Most of those are faster than my 4mb sky broadband!!! You've just not got an argument. The fact that I can happily sit using my measly 4mb connection and use a Middle East vpn and watch bein uninterrupted 99% of the time should tell you that.

I was just about to type something similar myself.

Before upgrading to fibre, I was lucky to get 4Mbps - in Liverpool! A lot of those countries listed achieve an average in excess of 7Mbps - for an ADSL connection those speeds are excellent! Wouldn't have minded that here in Liverpool, never mind the Middle East.

Seems fine to me. I'm watching the 2013 ballon d'or. Ronaldo crying. Probably tears of joy from leaving united.

Yeah, it worked perfectly during the ballon d'or, but it was broken an hour before that. Just like yesterday during the City game.

Is channel 12 not a fully operational channel? Does it have sporadic programming because it seems to have a lot of rolling adverts etc. I've never watched a programme and it jump back into something else, only adverts, like it's coming to the end of a loop.

No mate it's a proper channel.
They were broadcasting the Inter match today as you can see from this page http://www.futbolenlatv.com/beinsports (the new AJS schedule page is total garbage)

I couldn't watch it because it was jumping back all the time so I had to watch it in french on chan 13..

This won't work when there's live event because you will end up being behind.
And as of today chan 12 is still bugged lol. Now tell me what this has to do with using a vpn/smartdns.. award winning service yeah.

Until you've physically travelled to the MENA region and tried the service, it's the most likely reason.

Why don't you email them and ask?

2 mins behind on a live event, what's wrong with that?

After the troubles with AJ prior to Xmas, moved to PLP last week and have to say I'm really impressed. Have their app running on my android box under the TV and I'm really happy with the quality of the stream. If anyone is looking for an alternitive I'd highly recommend them.

What you don't understand is that the different streams (2.4mb one, 1.5mb etc) are not synced. The 2.4mb one is, for example, approx. 1 hour behind, whereas the low resolution ones are pretyt much synced with the sat channel (which I can watch on another site..). This means that when you reach the highest stream quality, you will be way behind the live content, no matter what.

This shit happened already once before the rebranding and now it's happening again. Only chan 12 is interested as far as I know. Chan 11 is interested sometimes but not at the moment. And I do not think I can blame the DNS providers for this, c'mon.. every channels would be affected otherwise. And besides that, I am pretty sure that once you pass the geoblock test, it doesn't matter anymore which DNS you're using.

Eh? I have genuinely not experienced that problem at all. I'm watching Chicago fire v man city academy on hd12 right now, which is correct, no? Maybe its because I don't understand!

I take it back. You're correct. The web player jumps back an hour when it reaches 2.4mb. The ios app however, does not.

Why don't you email Al Jazeera and ask them directly and tell them how poor you think their service is? For somebody who isn't meant to be watching it at all, you never seem very happy that you get access to the service! It's not meant for you and yet you still access it so either get on with it or cancel your subscription. Simple!

Well I tried doing that back when their player was bugged (high cpu usage) but they wouldn't listen, they just replied that everything was fine on their end and yet after a few days they switched player version and everything came back to normal.

The service is not meant for me, yeah, yet I pay for it so I think I am allowed to be disappointed..

I've emailed them. It's been passed through to their technical team.

To be honest, every time I've had a problem and emailed them, I've had reasonable response. If my account has exceeded the login limit, they've reset it within 15/20 minutes of me requesting it etc.

Whether you pay for it or not, the service is not meant for you so you're not really entitled to be disappointed. You're receiving something that you shouldn't be watching. If you lived in the MENA region then your argument would be valid all day long but seeing as you're nowhere near the region and are watching via DNS means, whether you pay for it or not is irrelevant.

I take it from your location you're in Italy? You should be subscribed to Fox Sports in your region for the Premier League just like I should be subscribed to Sky and BT. I'm not though. And with that, I realise that I've got sod all rights to be disappointed with a service that I shouldn't be watching in the first place. If it's not up to your expectations, stop paying them and subscribe to another service instead.

The only reason why I insist on this "service" it's because I've got an annual pass. A waste of money in hindsight.

and by the way, chan 12 is still bugged.

I tried and they came up with the usual bullshit "clear your cache and cookies" which of course did not work.

Then I tried emailing them again and they started asking for my account info which I could not give to them as theoretically a month ago they banned my account for using vpn/dns to bypass the geoblock (but those idiots didn't actually banned or deleted it, they just changed my password.... so I reset it and all good)
