Now, why didnt they keep it like that if it's was actually a new method to stop users from outside the mena? really c'mon lol..
Anyway this is a pointless discussion so I'll just leave it. No point arguing about this, I rest my case.”
Yes it is a pointless discussion. If I offered you a quote from Al Jazeera stating there are no problems you'd still find a problem with it.
As Overplay stated a while back
Quote:
“We regret the inconvenience you have experienced.
Due to actions by Al Jazeera, the service is no longer supported and unfortunately that's likely to remain the case for the foreseeable future.
Thank you for co-operating with us.”
Sorry, I didn't go to page 2 on Google but after getting past the spam, there is one more forum on the 2nd page and it's the one you have linked. So that's 2 mentions on the whole world wide web. I've just scrolled through that entire post for two comments from people who just happened to notice and put 2+2 together and got 5?
So they acknowledged that AJ had implemented measures to stop them and thought they'd not get back in again. Somehow they managed it. And yet streams were still fluctuating and problems still arose for some people and not others. Obviously this had something to do with the range of IP's being used by the third parties having extra attention paid to them by AJ.
A fair few people on your shared link complain of poor quality streaming from their domestic provider Foxtel which is why they moved to Al Jazeera, by way of VPN, instead and they found it better quality(!), until the above was posted by Overplay and they could no longer access the streams because all the problems were reported after this.
And again, any mention of the above player versions specify that the problems with Flash were different before and after signing in by way of DNS provider - fine before, poor after. This does not mean it had anything to do with AJ - it was the third party having a direct effect not the source material. Like I said previously, a Flash player is just a Flash player - it's down to Adobe to introduce updates to it and it's down to the user to download those updates. That's it. The reason you won't find any results when searching for those player versions (other than these 2 forums!) is because it's a mute point - it's a complete non-issue. Which takes us back around... again... to what other knowledgable posters have said previously and what DNS service Overplay has stated... it's something that happens in the middle.
I don't even know why I'm still replying to you when I've not got an issue with the service! I won't pick holes in any more of your posts. From now on, I'll leave you to it because I'm bidding farewell to this thread, I've had more than enough!!
