Hi

I've recently come back from India and whilst I was there I purchased the Star Sports app for my iPad. Whilst I was there it worked really well. I managed to watch all the Premier League games that I wanted. I never had any issues with picture or sound. It would take about 15 seconds for a really clear picture to appear but I can live with that. The app cost a fiver and in India a very good bargain. However since coming back I've struggled to get a decent picture.

I've signed up with overplay VPN but I'm not getting anywhere a reasonable picture. Is anyone using star sports? If you are what VPN service are you using? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Akash
UNOTELLY seems to work reasonably well for star sports its what i use. Better than the vpn i tried.

I also use Unotelly and, as I mentioned before, they do not officially support Star Sports but it does work. It's probably more reliable overall than BeIn (or AJS was); the only downsides I would say are that it's not the BEST quality (although perfectly watchable) and they only show Premier League games. However, again, it is great for just £5 per season.

Hmm, looks like BeIN Sports have geoblocked the HMA VPNs.

It's Hide My Ass VPN service, but I've just tried it again and it's working OK, and now I'm wondering if I'd accidentally left Hola Unblocker on as well when I tried it earlier I'll try it again tomorrow, but for now let's just assume it was a silly error from me...

A couple of glitches (drop in quality, and freezing once) early on but, other than that, BeIn was great for the Merseyside derby last night. The fact that they are able to show goals from other games as they go in is great, and I was glad to be able to switch to another game once Liverpool killed the game off for certain at 4-0!

After a couple of months i decided to try bein sports again last night over vpn instead of smart dns. despite my internet being around 3mb/s recently, i streamed the man utd game via my pc and hull city game on my tablet. pcture and connection quality on both was excellent. very impressed

Hi,

I have been using bein/AJS for a few months now with acceptable results (most of the time) using Overplay DNS however I am now getting geoblocked when using Overplay DNS on Windows (PC and laptop) but works fine on iPad app. Am I missing something obvious or has anyone else seen this issue? I update the preferred/alternate DNS servers in IPv4 properties and restart my connection which was working fine a few weeks ago but no joy now! The only change I have made is to upgrade my broadband to fibre however it’s strange that the same connection works fine for iPad with DNS applied.

Any advice kindly appreciated!

Does Hulu work okay for you? Assuming you're not in the USA that is... that'd tell you whether smartdns itself is working, other than that it's usually a matter of clearing cookies and cache

I'm in the UK. Cleared cookies and cache and that didn't help. Will try another DNS and see if that makes any difference.

Just started using the new beinsports app that used to be AJS.
Can anyone tell me what channel the Hull vs Spurs match is on?
I can't see it!
Do they still show all the matches?
Cheers

That covers everything spurs is not on its United instead. There is only 1 3pm game on at the moment I think until the cards are paired with the boxes. I did think that was by the 31st of Jan so maybe the next few weeks all 3pm s will be back

I've been watching the Spurs game on Star and the whole time the quality has been varying every few seconds between "good enough" and "unwatchable".

How do you guys get unotelly to work..?

I have both overplay and now unotelly but unotelly doesnt seem to work on starsports.com.. on DNS.. Beinsports works just fine..
and they have no VPN in the star sports area as well.

So how do you get it to work? it worked last week and doesnt work now? or am I doing something wrong..?

I don't do anything for Star Sports to work - it just does, so I can't help you I'm afraid.

Sadly starsports has been poor quality wise over the last few days its a real shame that one of the dns providers can not officially support the site,
