Since PLP have failed to deliver an iOS App for the weekend, does anyone know of a good iPad browser that supports Flash?

If you have iPhone or iPad jailbroken, and using AJS, you can use HDMI cable to watch on TV. What I have is DisplayOut and Unrestrictor Premium from Cydia. The app then works fine and Airplay worked for me when I tried it from my old iPhone4.

The only one I've found that works so far is Photon browser. It's about £3 and it plays it in a reduced size window (probably an aspect ratio thing) but it does play it . Puffin browser is supposed to do it but it goes through their own servers and so gets geo-blocked.

Tried Photon on my old iPhone4 which is my test phone if you like to think of it as that. I install tweaks, apps etc on this one before I'll install on my iPhone5 or iPad. Not keen on interface but seems to be the only one that works for me of ones I have tried. I've seen Puffin, it is fast but as you say, goes to the US and through their servers so it is a shame it doesn't work with PLP. I looked at vShare I think it is called or vBrowse, seemed okay interface wise but goes through some other servers so once again, stuck. I've not thought to try Skyfire though.

Edit: just tried Skyfire now, doesn't seem to work, plays/skips for few seconds and that's about it. Mostly a grey overlay on picture too! Shame it doesn't work since the output does support AirPlay from Skyfire app! Ideally that is what I am wanting and looking for in addition to a simple looking UI. Not asking too much am I?

Tried AJS tonight too, lego picture for a moment, then crisp and clear on HD2.

Skyfire seems to get some pretty poor reviews. I haven't tried it though.

Just had an email back from PLP in response to me asking them about cancelling the account before the season starts as they haven't come up with the apps and they have now limited all games to one viewing only. Their response was that I can cancel anytime I like.......but they don't give refunds! So it looks like I'm in it for the long haul.

I would also try to fiddle with graphic card settings, if there's problems with the quality.
It's usual today that graphic cards have those same picture enhancement settings that TV's. All of them should be disabled.

Saves me asking them the same then. I only went with them in the first place as AJS app wasn't stable enough for me on my iPhone and iPad for some reason. One added bonus of PLP is split screen on games. I like that idea though I'm only interested really in watching Everton

The app will be available at some point but is a matter of when. Are you in the UK? I ask as I've seen you on Geekzone too! I'm not on there, just here as far as forums go now but I don't post much anywhere full stop anymore. These kind of topics are of great interest to me though as I've been keen to get all EPL games each season since I can't remember when.

Anyone tried iSwifter app on iPad? Meant to be a decent Flash browser. Not tried it myself but may give it a go. I would want it to allow me to AirPlay to TV as well though! Any solutions welcome

That was my main reason as well so I'm hoping that the app has taken so long because they wanted it to be perfect on release....unlikely, I know. They told me that the app would only show one match though, which I'm not surprised about. Even one match would be good at the moment . Southampton fan here so other options tend to be very limited.

Yes, I'm in the UK and on Geekzone as well. They are clearly disappointed in NZ as they are dropping from Sky HD quality down to.....whatever we get tomorrow. Whereas we are grateful to get anything at 3pm at all.

Once again, I haven't tried iSwifter but the reviews seem to say it all .

Somehow my AJS stream was smoother, when i changed my computers resolution 720p from 1080p. Didnt se much difference in quality of stream, just smoother. I used Safari, wich had best smootheness with 1080p resolution also.

Mirroring to AppleTV with AirParrot wasnt success. Stutterish stream on AppleTV. HD movies plays right, but not AJS. Thinking about jailbreaking my ipad, so i can watch AJS from AppleTV with quality picture (smooth), but we have to wait first impressions when the ipad update is coming.

Works nice.

Been playing around a bit more with the Photon browser on PLP and it does seem to be the best iPad option in the absence of PLP's app. You can force it full screen using the player's full-screen button but everything then gets stretched vertically because of the ratio.

It also has the benefit of the PIP option etc. It doesn't quite fill the screen width though which seems a bit of a waste as it could have grown a bit vertically if it had.

I'm watching it PIP at the moment and it's not silky smooth but I do have it set to 3000bps. Hmmm...just tried it at 1600bps and it's much the same. I've watched worse though.

If I run a speed test on the iPad, I'm getting 15Mbps download and 2Mbps upload and the Netflix app works brilliantly but I guess the browser is having to do quite a lot of stuff to get Flash working in the first place.

I see that PLP have the Liverpool game starting at 11.30am and 12.45pm. The players will be wanting more money .

Having said that, AJS has it starting at noon. I'm sure it will all be ok on night.

Well I signed up to overplay and ajs. Not a good start as the video was stuttering slightly especially when connected to my tv in full screen mode. The quality looked ok but could be better, maybe because it was stuttering.

Also by updating flash and changing chrome settings I managed to lock out my account since it would log me out each time I restarted chrome wtf. So stuttering vids and a locked out account for something I'm paying for :/

Does anyone know how I can improve stuttering and how long am I locked out for? Why can't the site keep me logged in after I've closed the browser using cookies or something. Unless theres a remember me somewhere that I can't seem to find.

Just a quick note to anyone considering Jailbreaking your iPhone/iPad, some versions of iOS aren't jailbreak-able at the moment as a compatible jailbreak was never released for this. Most recently, iOS 6.13 and 6.14 can't be jailbroken.

Try Safari, fi it it still stutters, try change your pc's or laptops resolution to 720p and then again with safari. Any diffrence, or its just me?

Just send email to AJS support team, the link is coming after you are trying to log in, but "login attempts exeeded" Message is shown, in that page there is link for "send message " and after sending message about login problems, usually they reset your acount in 5minutes....Vola and working again.

I have subscribed to overplay, AJ ios app and have .tv on my laptop.

.tv works fine on my laptop I have a few problems with ios app on my Ipad 2 though.

firstly when I select any live tv channel on the app it simply returns me to the previous screen i.e. wont load, and
secondly when looking at the schedule on my app none of the premier football is available it says watch on .tv next to each game.

I have subscribed to AJ and I am logged in and have changed the DNS as per overplay

Anyone know a solution to the above issues

thanks

Id say best thing to do is watch on laptop/pc for today until the new app is released.

Should iron out a few of the issues we are all having!

The ios app is inconsistent at best. If it fails to start a stream play a Youtube video first, then reopen the AJS app. I don't know why but this can sometimes kick start the app streams. Otherwise just closing and restarting the app can help. At the moment I don't rely on either the ios app or the Android app and will solely use the AJS website for viewing.

If you really want to use your ipad try using the AJS website with the Photon web browser. It supports flash and is the best £3 I've spent at he apple store in a long while.
