What happened last time they flexed their muscles? Nothing! Overplay went off but that's it. It didn't interrupt me watching bein/AJS at all.

Is there another free DNS I could use instead of Unotelly, as for some reason, I ain't getting any joy from it?

Unotelly isn't free. Are you using the free trials. You're much better off with a paid unotelly DNS subscription.

I'm stumped.

How can the games play judder free via the iPad app when Airplayed to my TV and yet I reboot the Superhub 2, wire it to the Macbook, loaded up PLP and still found judder.

I can only think that the games vary on quality because the Man City game seemed to flow better than the Chelsea one.

I refuse to let this issue defeat me.

How do you know that is was not because of both services if it was only because of the satellite platform why did they not continue to show games online im sure it would be technically possible as i think viaplay did that

For those who have paid for PLP (from "the other place"), has your payment shown up on your statements/online banking yet?

I paid on Wednesday and have been checking everyday since and the amount hasn't appeared......

Mine hasn't actually come out but I have a difference on my available balance of just under £3 which would be right for the $5 sub - Also paid Wednesday but its only been 2 days will come out Monday i suspect

Because the online security setup is the same, the satellite system is now paired card and box.

quick question , ive changed my dns settings on my desktop pc, and i am able to access starsports (was able to watch their free stream of the cricket on a 5min delay)

The problem i have is that after installing the indian version of itunes , i try to create an account but only get as far as entering card details which itunes reject as the card isnt indian,
i am wondering if there is anyway around this?

If its possible to register a new indian itunes account, would it then be a matter of downloading the starsports app to my iphone (although thats going to be another issue) then going out to purchase an apple tv box (which i understand has to be at least 2nd generation?) so that i can watch on my tv.

if the iphone option isnt possible, does anyone know if you could just download the starsports app onto the apple tv box and watch that way.

any help would be greatly appreciated

thank you

You have to access the indian iTunes store, choose to download the star sports app for free, then it will prompt you for your account/password of which you then create the new apple ID. Doing it any other way will request you to enter your card details.

You don't need to create a new i-tunes account, just go into your i-phone or i-pad settings, and change your country/region, you keep the same login details, select non payment option, and just change your postcode and phone number to one from that region, you can then go into the App Store download either Bein, Star Sports or PLP, then reverse details back to Uk

Hi, I believe starsports is also in the US app store if you have an account. you didn't need to download the indian version of iTunes.
1. type starsports us app store in google
2. open the link.
3. select show or view in iTunes.
when iTunes opens, it will say the app is in the US store or INDIAN STORE.
Click on the APP STORE tab in iTunes and select TOP FREE APPS from the right pane.
on the iTunes search bar on the top right, Search for STARSPORTS and choose the iPhone or ipad version.
CLICK ON FREE AND CREATE NEW ACCOUNT.
On the second page of the account registration, you will see the option NONE. just find any US or indian address online and complete registration. You will then be able to download the app.
Lastly, login to the app store on your phone with the new details and download the app.

NOTE : YOU WILL NEED TO PAY FOR THE SUBSCRIPTION ONLINE SO YOU CAN INSERT CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD DETAILS. You can't do that through the app.
When you create an account and pay through the website, just use the login details to login to the iPhone app.
HAPPY VIEWING.

I'm sure your method works as well but for me personally, anytime I've had to download an app from another country it's required me to get a new itunes account.

I've not posted in here or read the thread for some time but I see the same topics are still being discussed.

The Premier League have never had issue with people accessing the 3pm matches from home - they've always turned a blind eye to what goes on behind closed doors. They know full well that selling 380 matches will always result in UK access anyway. The only thing they have problem with is selling matches to broadcasters who are able to be received by satellite in UK licensed premises - because this steps directly on the toes of Sky and BT commercial subscriptions and the pressure on the PL from the domestic broadcasters is huge because this is where they receive large sums from landlords who are turning to cheaper foreign methods.

I imagine beIN Sports would be able to broadcast all the 3pm matches as an online-only option but they don't offer an online-only package in the sense that the online channels are exact copies of the satellite feeds. IF they were separate entities, there wouldn't be an issue. The issue came about because of the freely available boxes and cards. It's the reason Al Jazeera (at the time) was announced as the MENA rights holder so late on in the process because the PL weren't happy with their lack of card pairing security measures... ultimately they forced AJ's hand because of pressure from Sky.

As for PLP, I can't see that being an issue now or further along the line. The only concerns are services that can be received in pubs and clubs - hence why AJ were blocked as well as Fox Sports Italy etc - all of which have a footprint that strays over into the UK.

It's easy though for a pub to sign up via the online methods and broadcast it.

I decided to give a month of Bein a try after saving so much on PLP.

I use an Acer W4 Win 8 tablet with HDMI out. I was streaming Bein in no time to my plasma TV in HD quality from their website. Anyone from a pub could do that for a few dollars a month and save big on legitimate fees.

Ultimately the Premier League will force internet providers to authenticate via local cards/addresses when streaming stops being a niche (as satellite was in its early days) and becomes more mainstream.

One month of Dish's Top 250 package (which includes ESPN, Fox Sports, NBC Sports Net and Bein USA) is around $75. For two months subs I can have PLP and Bein MENA for a full year.

In the US you need an actual cable/Sat login to access most on demand services (including abc and Fox broadcast on demand) I'd imagine the Premier League will be looking for rights providers who guarantee this next time round.

these are just as easy to get as signing up to PLP. if you look in the right places.

Agreed though, the PL only care about pubs showing the 3pms, not the normal household, as long as pubs are not using internet providers to show the games then i think we'll be fine.

Or we could just stop talking and just watch it.

I think star sports are showing all of there live streams up to 2064 kbps watching the cricket it looks amazing i think they done a great job i also think you can watch two concurrent streams at the same time .

I tried playing two streams on PLP it does not seem possible for me it makes it an even harder decision on who to go with

I agree, I think I'm opting for PLP because of there higher frame rate. And for £29 it's a bargain!

A few years ago there was a sweet East Coast CBS stream online. Again it was discussed on DS and was picked up by Big Brother fans on the West Coast and abroad. The affiliate. who had turned a blind eye to a few people using it, pulled the stream when traffic went through the roof.

While this thread night not make a difference if it's picked up by the wider web then I'm sure it will bring it to the attention of the rights holders.

Either way we all spend our money not knowing if it'll work from one week to the next. I'm sure this thread will be VERY active!
