Watched PSG game yesterday and Marseille game today and Bein was flawless. Good start of season. Let's hope it will be great tomorrow for the Arsenal game.

I had been a firm fan of Bein Sports, but just accepted the fact that the best place to watch it was on the computer. If you airplay it from your computer to your Apple TV, the picture was jerky, and if you airplay it from your iPad the picture is smooth but significantly lower quality.

I just tried the one week free trial for PLP. Wow, blown away - the quality of the full match replays it has on file are incredible. Airplaying it from my iPad is coming across as full HD, making the Bein Sports iPad stream seem very poor quality indeed, SD at best.

With Star Sports having got their act together significantly towards the end of last season, it will be interesting to see how they compare with PLP for live Premier League football.

Might be worth checking if your ATV is amongst the serial number range that's "faulty." Mine is, and I can't airplay iPlayer normally (only mirroring.) Other apps airplay fine, so it might be a problem specific to you.
I'm sure other people have commented that their iPhone/iPad PLP streams airplay fine.

Has anyone tried using Airplay from a Mac laptop (Maverick) to watch PLP via Apple TV and what were the results like? Just curious.

I still have an issue of bein sport it rotating when using the hdmi adaptor, PLP works flawlessly though so will stick with that and get a star sub also as back up

My apps airplay fine to the Apple TV-thats not the issue. Its when I want to do something else with my iPad that the video stops.

You need to change your itunes region to New Zealand. Then download from the App Store. Open App Store, click your account at the bottom and "view Apple ID" - it's all in there.

Oh... Sorry, I misunderstood your problem. The only time I've had that problem before, a simple closing of the app from the app-switcher, then restarting the app has cured the problem. I'm not sure what else to do, I'm afraid. Sorry.

Do both PLP and Bein have Android apps?

You will need a post code / zip / suburb code or something for the country you've selected. Everything else can stay the same

PLP apk can be downloaded here, although I believe the lastest version is Samsung only. It's not doing much on my phone right now, but then I've not got any DNS/VPN in the way of it.

anyone got any tips for PLP over airplay to ATV as it seems that I get a lovely HD picture on the ipad, but when i flip it over to the tv via airplay, the framerate seems to drop to movie style 23fps and athough clear, it makes the picture seem like im watching a movie, if you get my drift....

Any ideas appreciated..

I'd invest in an Apple media adaptor and hardwire through HDMI.

Overplay told me to change time settings on my iPhone to NZ when it happened to me. Bizarrely it worked!

Half-time in the charity shield, the implication was that only one 3pm kick off from the Premier League would be shown.
