Logging in is really easy and no problem at all.
With PLP, you literally only get the game.
The stream switches on 5-10 minutes before the game, and switches off 2-3 minutes after the final whistle. No interviews, no "goodbye," no extras.
There appears to be some micro stuttering but that seems to be less of a problem in Arsenal game than in the Liverpool... That might just be my perception though. Overall, the picture is very good and my stream never needed to drop down to 1600kbps, it stayed at 3000kbps for the whole Liverpool game, so there doesn't appear any issue getting the stream al the way from New Zealand.
The PLP interface is really good... Very easy to use and the "picture in picture" works well.
When you select the "picture in picture" option, the stream quality of each individual game drops down to 400kbps, but as soon as you select a game to go "full screen" in, the stream goes back up to 3000kbps. It's very easy to identify the picture quality bitrate as it's explicitly viewable in the picture quality drop down.
The stream seems to be about 50 secs behind Radio 5Live's Online commentary... But I'm trying to forget about that
Overall, at the moment I'd rate the PLP as follows:
Picture: 8/10
Sound: 9/10
Content: 7/10
Ease of use: 9/10
Features: 9/10
Overall: 8/10
I have access to Sky Go so I'll do a little comparison, after the Man U game.
