Only getting 300k with that networx tool so I guess not. A bit of pixelation but nearly hd quality. Wish it could be better, maybe it can be improved somehow?

Little halftime review of PLP based on the Liverpool Game.
Streaming service: Premier League Pass
DNS Service: Overplay Smart DNS
Device: Retina Macbook Pro
Streaming method: AirPlay mirroring via Ethernet cable (not wifi)
CPU Usage: 6-8%
Broadband speed: 26-28mbps
Streaming quality: 3000k (stable)
Viewing method: 50" TV

Description: Still pictures look great but as soon as the camera starts panning around, I start to get micro-stuttering... I don't remember ADMC having this so much, through exactly the same method...
The strange thing is, when I watch on the Mac's screen, the micro-stuttering seems to disappear (need to inspect this more thoroughly.) If this remains the case, it probably means that the problem is not from the stream itself, but my setup.

PS. What do you think about implementing the specs description above for every review? I think it would make it easier to get an idea of individual setup, the source of potential problems and might prevent needless additional questions.

Liverpool Game.

Streaming service: Al Jazeera Sport
DNS Service: Overplay Smart DNS
Device: Acer A511 android tablet
Streaming method: Stock browser exported via hdmi
CPU Usage: ?
Broadband speed: 25 mbps via wifi
Streaming quality: 2000-3000k variable
Viewing method: 32 inch via Hdmi

Pretty good once connected. Quality changes automatically so starts off low then switches up. Sound excellent.
Richard Keys and Andy Gray at half-time - is that good or bad?

Yeah it's seems to only really show up as an issue when the camera is panned out and moves quickly.

How do we get this 4meg feed? Or have they got rid of it as it must be caining their servers at the moment.

a little bit of a failure for me today, in work using the ipad application. stream was very blocky and went into the just audio mode for most of the match i am going to thr the android browser and see how that goes for me. i really think these applications are a waste of time unlike ADMC but the browser on my laptop is amazing!

AJS servers must be rammed ATM - page loading very slowly!

HD6 was English for Liverpool so hopefully that will remain for the Arsenal match. Switch between HD5 and +9 to see if there is a difference, otherwise via Flash you should get the audio switch option, although I could never get that to work.

Email support and they will reset your account - usually within a few minutes.

How do you tell whether you're on 4mb or 300k stream or not? Other than by the quality, as I'm not sure what 4mb looks like

Network monitor on your PC - guessing your going to be on the 3meg like most of us.

Does browser impact on the speed you get? Any known to work better than others?

Ok........

Al Jazeera on a lenovo q190 i3 - Pretty much flawless.

Al Jazeera on 7 year old DELL XPS 420 - Again flawaless - maybe even 5 percent better than the Lenovo - only problem with the dell is its DVI and not HDMI so no sound apart from the audio out from the pc - but this pc is going straight into a tv so no joy there - still very very good for a 7 year old pc.

Al Jazeera on 2 x ACER REVO's L70 AND L80 - Rubbish on both - stutter city.

As I mentioned on the other thread - NBC SPORT through a slingbox is 110 percent HD - no stuttering, jagged edges etc - just sublime !! This is the one for me - albeit I understand not an option available to the mass public.

Advice from me - pick up an old DELL XPS 420 from ebay - stick a cheap HDMI graphics card in it and uncle bob is here - by the way can anybody recommend me a hdmi card for my XPS 420 - I assume its just plug one out and plug new one in ?

Not too techy I'm afraid..............

Anyone tried the picture-in-picture option on PLP? It works quite well. I'm only using an ipad 1 to watch it so it doesn't work smoothly but I bet with an ipad 2/3 it would look great.

Logging in is really easy and no problem at all.

With PLP, you literally only get the game.
The stream switches on 5-10 minutes before the game, and switches off 2-3 minutes after the final whistle. No interviews, no "goodbye," no extras.

There appears to be some micro stuttering but that seems to be less of a problem in Arsenal game than in the Liverpool... That might just be my perception though. Overall, the picture is very good and my stream never needed to drop down to 1600kbps, it stayed at 3000kbps for the whole Liverpool game, so there doesn't appear any issue getting the stream al the way from New Zealand.

The PLP interface is really good... Very easy to use and the "picture in picture" works well.
When you select the "picture in picture" option, the stream quality of each individual game drops down to 400kbps, but as soon as you select a game to go "full screen" in, the stream goes back up to 3000kbps. It's very easy to identify the picture quality bitrate as it's explicitly viewable in the picture quality drop down.
The stream seems to be about 50 secs behind Radio 5Live's Online commentary... But I'm trying to forget about that

Overall, at the moment I'd rate the PLP as follows:

Picture: 8/10
Sound: 9/10
Content: 7/10
Ease of use: 9/10
Features: 9/10
Overall: 8/10

I have access to Sky Go so I'll do a little comparison, after the Man U game.
