With beIN, PLP, and Star how can you tell the actual streaming bitrate? I know they have an option during streams to select a bitrate or "max" but that's only an "up to" speed, not necessarily the actual bitrate.

If a particular service is down (say Bein), contact OverPlay support and inform them. They probably won't know until someone complains. (and complaining on a public forum feels great, but doesn't still doesn't actually inform them

Quick q with downloading the PLP iPad app from the NZ app store. To access this app - do you need to use a completely different email address and essnetially create a new itunes ID or is there an easier way to do this?

Its up to you, you can just change the region if you like on your existing or create a new one.

Nah, just change the country via settings in iPad(will need a NZ post code and surburb). That's what I did at least.

It's easier to create a new one. That way, you can easily update apps that require you to be in a specific region (i.e. BBC iPlayer etc).

If you don't have a second email address, just make one up from a throwaway company like Yahoo or Gmail.

Working on PLP where I am, via Android, iOS, Samsung and web.

Looks like you need to re-register your IP address. (tip, use their iOS app or Android webapp as it makes it much easier)

Bein app crashing as well.

Tried the free vids on Star Sports app (which is on the US App Store) and not working.
I thought it was unsupported by Overplay.

Just follow the instructions from quickstart on unotelly and enter the primary and alternate dns it tells you to; that's all you need to do.

On a side note with regards to signing up from different app stores. The change region trick doesn't work for me. Asks for credit/debit even if on free app.

Pain to have different accounts but as noted above useful for updating apps.

Like you I've never been able to just change region like people suggest, always asks me for a credit card, I've now got accounts for the UK, US, India, UAE and New Zealand using 5 diff email addresses, none of which have payment details attached
