Like you I've never been able to just change region like people suggest, always asks me for a credit card, I've now got accounts for the UK, US, India, UAE and New Zealand using 5 diff email addresses, none of which have payment details attached
Yes, this is how I've done it too.

So for unotelly, are people just using the generic settings they tell you to use in their guides and eveything loads up in PLP and Starsports ok?
Yes, you don't need to select different DNS settings depending on which country you want to "be from" - if that's what you're asking - like you do with VPNs.

Haven't got starsports but PLP works fine with the generic settings.

Football season pass 14/15 (including not just the EPL but also the others leagues) is available now on starsports
http://account.starsports.com/star-package

in sale for 400 INR (4 £) until 31th aug.
When I click on that link I get "No packages available to be purchased" ... I'm assuming that's because my Smart DNS provider doesn't support Starsports, or are other people with Starsports access getting the same message?

When you try to purchase a Starsports sub, which Debit card option have people been picking in the UK?

Edit- Also, for some reason it would allow me to subscribe to Bein Sports, but I don't have that issue with PLP and Star Sports. How can you register to Bein Sports using Unotelly?

Seems ok to me. You have to it load a bit, before the picture improves.

I guess there is no way to watch any of these services on an Android box using an Ethernet cable?

I'm using my HTPC which is connected up to my TV, using Firefox and Unotelly DNS trial for PLP, watching 14-15 season preview and only get best available, 3000, 1600, 800 and 400kbps

I was hoping for 4500kbps as I have 1.4MB/s connection

Thanks. Did get better. Bein app still kicking me out. May pick up Star as back up. US
App only offers subs for cricket/F1 while website offers nothing. Will try Hola
plugin later.

Hope Bein gets sorted as it's broad range of other competitions/sports is well worth
$13 a month.

So I've bought the PLP subscription and I can play it with my iPod Touch. I can airplay the shows (e.g. 2014/15 preview show) to my XBMC device but when I try to airplay the matches to my XBMC device, it just automatically pauses itself on the iPod and refuses to work.

Any fixes/ ideas why guys? Thanks!
So has anyone else encountered this problem? Have a feeling it's to do with DRM-protected streams... does airplay to an Apple TV work with the PLP app?

That might just be the Max that PLP have set the video to. The games will be at 4500 so I wouldn't worry too much.

Away from home so can't check but it wouldn't be a huge surprise.

Isitdown confirmed Bein English website down.

Very disappointed with BeIN. Subscribed to watch the Coventry v Cardiff match this evening. Looked at a couple of channels earlier. Now when I try to log in I'm getting the login attempts have been exceeded message. Sent them an email half an hour ago to ask for assistance and not received any reply.

If this is how they operate I've wasted my money!

I've known this to happen if I login via IE then Chrome. Takes an hour to reset.

Or login via the app

Thanks for the suggestion but I've just logged in the app ok but get the message: "ERROR The network request was not successful" when I try to watch the match.

SORRY, CANCEL THAT. I've restarted the app and it works.

Thanks again.

The PL package details aren't showing in the app or on the mobile version of the site. They do show on the "desktop" version though.

Also, for people asking about which bank to select to use debit cards, you should choose the credit card option and enter your details in there.

So far from my experience, web, iPad (not iPhone) and the Samsung Smart Hub.

The best video quality I have seen has so far been the Samsung Smart Hub, ever so slightly followed by iPad to TV via AirPlay.

Web would be next, but can be jerky, even when using the better browsers.

Haven't tried Android yet, but I suspect it will be like the iPhone and reduced quality.
Is air playing via iPhone worse than iPad? How much worse is it? It's my preferred way of watching the footy as it's so dam easy, so I'd be disappointed if this didn't work properly.
Also, when you say "web," do you mean watching it on a browser on you mac/PC or via some other method?

Thanks.
no the fact of the matter is DNS is faster than a VPN purely on the way they operate.
if you`re using the service for watching online streaming then a DNS service is going to be better .
That's not always true.
Some DNS services don't support all streaming services and when star sport first launched its streaming service, I was getting much better picture via my VPN than via SmartDNS, despite Overplay tweaking/adjusting it's settings.

It's not quite as good as BeIn, but is definitely a good quality stream. PLP is much better than both to date.
