As per my post many pages back, I installed Firefox, then Flash on my win 8.1 machine and the quality was amazing. Will continue to use Chrome for everything else though.

This isn't always the case, I get perfect streaming just using pepperflash hooked up to a decent size TV

Interesting - I've only used BeIn for live games before, but noticed that, while the resolution of the feed was excellent, it was not smooth. Maybe this is because of a mismatch between the fps of the video and the refresh rate of the monitor? I am now subscribing to PLP and will give this a shot. I read that PLP will be moving to 30fps feeds though.

Got it working, wifi connection at the work was highly secured. Got it working with shared 3G connection from my cell phone.

Not for me it doesn't. Chrome with pep flash enabled is best for me.

Haven't tried 25hz though but will do later.

The absolute best is a background enabled Airplay to Apple TV. Almost got star sports air playing too via flex if many ones interested I'll share when it works

It really depends what device you are using to stream PLP, on my HTPC I find 60Hz refresh rate is the smoothest

I think people are massively overstating the effect the refresh rate of a monitor has on stream quality. It makes very very little difference in this day and age IMO. The problem more likely with Flash (and potentially your machine if its old).

Happy to be proven wrong but I dont think you should worry about it! Just sit back and enjoy!

For best stream performance on PC, install Firefox with the latest version of Adobe Flash as well as checking for drivers updates

For you maybe. Not at alll the case for me. It's machine specific, and display specific! I agree with the chap above... Just find what works for you and enjoy!

It is yes. It helps a lot- I can enable the streams to airplay in the background so the ipad can be put to sleep or used for other things whilst maintaining the stream

Starsports works for me though using Flex tweaks. I have tried it with the live Cricket this morning. Works fine.

Interested to see how you managed to get airplay working. My iphone is jailbroken.
Is this proper airplay, or just airplay mirroring with multitasking enabled?
Cheers...

Hi, I am watching the England V India Test Match live today on Star Sports, and apart from an occasional drop in picture, it has been running all morning on my mac book pro mirrored to apple tv.

as long as you have unotelly setup correctly , which i assume you must have as you can get in plp site then all is fine .

I will be intrigued to see what the live streams will be like tomorrow, as when I watch highlight videos on Starsports, there seems to be a stutter of sorts.

anyone having problems with PLP using a mac, safari and VPN? Site loads fine but videos aren't playing for me on PC. Its absolutely fine on iPad / iPhone though. Weird. It was working perfectly 48 hours ago. Can anyone with a similar set up test it?

EDIT - tried with opera and its fine.... strange
