If I remember correctly you won't share which provider you use, which is fair enough.

But about how much do you pay? (One I was thinking of trying was $10, too much?)
Would you bother paying extra for a provider that gives a dedicated ip?

I'm saying this here as getting annoyed with the pms asking for my friend to sell accounts. My friend will not sell accounts, he only did the trade with me as he knows me so please stop asking.

Keep going with what I'm using for PLP or switch to a VPN?

Akki, are you using a VPN in the same location as the sub you bought it in? e.g. NZ price NZ VPN?

Same sneaky user message here

Oh well, still got one service active. It's not exactly hard to find other streams even if the quality isn't great

Given these PLP suspensions are been done in batches I think its nothing to do with VPN/DNS ip, its them manually checking billing countries in my view. With what it seems to be working backwards from newest accounts to oldest.

Also bear in mind a DNS provider doesnt mean you connect directly from home, they use a reverse proxy to route media services.

Manually checking billing countries? No. One query could wipe out all non NZ, TW and philepenes billing addresses immediately! It's DNS! Anyone on a VPN been banned yet??!

Thanks.

Also what Akki is saying above seems correct. Can't seem to find other places where they are discussing the banning otherwise I'd bring more information here.

i don't think it has to do with billing addresses as you may be a student in nz, tw or philippines using a uk credit card which your parents back you up with, i think it has to be related to people using dns or the example telephone number

but now we don't know their reason why accounts are being suspended but i wouldn't sign up and pay again to plp and just buy a nbc account from a forum member here and enjoy!

It has absolutely nothing to do with DNS most likely, it most likely is going by billing addresses. The system could be flagging up addresses and then they are being manually checked.
As i said last week in this very thread a friend of mine uses a VPN and got his account suspended.

Manually checking billing addresses and payment details it's a peice of cake to spot debit or credit cards from another country.
Why not tell people who your vpn is if it's so good? VPNs aren't illegal so you won't get banned or anything. Or have i missed something?

Firstly, why couldn't a legit customer in NZ have a UK card? Answer- they can. So, the only actual way to spot non legit usage is via the customers IP. Even using the example phone number doesn't prove anything, you just may not have an effing phone.

I'm not naming my VPN because I don't want to publicise the name of it in case it gets overloaded and flagged as suspicious.
