Quick question:

Was anyone able to watch the England game via the Fox Soccer 2 Go app last night?

It came up with a you do not have rights type message when I went to select it. Just thought it was weird that I can watch the on demand content and have watched a Rugby league game live but the England game gave me problems.....

there's no option to switch between languages.
Also, the stream is not stable at all (at least on dns - dunno about vpn)

Probably something wrong with your DNS or VPN. I had that before with mu DNS, changed to VPN and it worked fine.

Anybody tried emailing beinsports CS with regard to their new -awful- webplayer? I tried and got the usual bullshit precompiled answer (delete cookies etc)

The on-demand stuff is normally not geo-restricted and I believe some of the live rugby along with a few other sporting events are not either where as the England game along with the majority of other live football games are and you need DNS / VPN setup correctly.

Ok I finally got a non-retarded answer from Bein,
they said that this new flash player will stay in place and they won't add the language button.
Already asked for a refund for my annual subscription.

That screams of the PL not wanting English language coverage being available. Not sure why they've gone to the extreme of disabling it for all their content though... Seems a bit excessive but I guess they're really aiming to impress and play ball so they can get all matches up and running again even if it's just via satellite delivery.

Can't help but think if they hadn't gone with Keys & Gray there wouldn't have been such a massive splash though. They went high profile with the former Sky Sports duo and it made for a perfect, cheaper option, for the pubs and clubs.

I personally think the best option in future will be for people to get a dish installed! I know people say that streaming is the future but it's just too easy for the PL to clamp down on. If you can get your hands on a paired card/box combo I imagine you'd be set for the season with no issues.

I can't recall the last time I needed to use the language button anyway. For the matches I want to watch there is English commentary as standard.

What size dish are we talking realistically? Also, people will be pushed to premium iptv services that stream the bein sat channels.

I use Unblock Us and logged onto the website version of Fox Soccer 2 Go and was able to see the England game so it seems to be the app that is having the issue.

All my other apps that I need to use DNS for work perfectly fine so it seems to me that the live stream and on demand stuff are coming from different places hence why I'm getting blocked.

I personally needed it most of the time.
I cared about CL games, Bundesliga, Serie A etc and those were barely shown on chan 11.

This has nothing to do with piracy imho. This is just them being retarded, once again. Nothing new really.

Also, the problem isn't just the language button.
My stream is not stable at all now. I get buffering a lot and quality drops often. This was not happening on the old player. Also I get "error" sometimes when I switch channel.
Tried two different DNS service and got the same result. Maybe it's different with a VPN, dunno.

I thought about trying the french version (beinsports.fr - they show everything but the premier league) but they use Silverlight as webplayer there and it's even worse...

I guess it's time to go back to dodgy services.. plus1hd here I come.

Quick tip regarding air playing content to your AppleTV... You need to input your smartDNS ip(s) into your AppleTV as well, not just your iPhone/iPad.
This might sound obvious to some, but it wasn't to me, and even stuff like BBC iPlayer wasn't working for me (I live in Denmark.)

This combined with Background Manager is now allowing me to AirPlay flawlessly, even within Apps that don't allow it natively!

Is there a reason you don't use Fox Sports / Sky Italia / Mediaset etc? Is it more expensive?

Yeah, it's expensive. 60-70€/month for the Sky Italia football package - just too much for me. You can't get a Fox Sports subscription alone. Also, italian pundits are obnoxious.
I'm moving to the UK soon anyway so even if I wanted to get a Sky subscription, I can't

Quick question... If I switch on the VPN on my phone to access PLP, but then airplay to my Apple TV (with my smartDNS settings configured,) will it appear as if I'm using my VPN OR SmartDNS settings, if PLP ever investigated?

Has anyone had any trouble getting rid of the Closed Captions on the NBC Live Extra app, when air playing to an AppleTV? Even when i toggle the Closed Captions off on the app, they keep on running my big-screen, and it's pretty annoying!
