Well did you have to log in??? Nbc ain't free is it!
try logging out of NBC from your browser then seeing if the XBMC addon works, you only didn't have to login because you've already previously done so via your browser.

Aaah, I see! Then in that case it's ace! Not sure it's 720p!

its what I would call 720 lite, its definatly a 1280 x 720 stream but the bitrate is low enough to make it appear more like a very good SD stream,
anyway its still a damn site better than the previous viewing method via a browser, silky smooth, full screen and (touch wood) so far no buffering or changes in quality.
Comparing it to the SD feed on BT Sports via my VM box I prefer watching the NBC stream but that might be because my PC is upscaling it to 1080p rather than my cable box which is limited to 1080i

He's not saying it's free. He stated that you need a legit login to use it.

For those having script errors when trying to run the addon on xbmc here is an updated version that works well https://github.com/eracknaphobia/plu...nbcsnliveextra

Agreed, much much much better than viewing in an browser. Very smooth stream. NBC has taken over all other services for me now. Awesome. When do they lose the rights?! Ha ha

Yes, we established that.

I think i read somewhere that if you wanted a real 720p stream like you would get from a satellite feed you would need it to be around 20000 kbps

Yeah he did, in his second post on the subject, and you questioned it after that!

The only way that you might be able to get it reactivated, is if you have a friend in NZ, and you can convince PLP that the subscription belongs to him/her... That's a bit of a longshot though, in my opinion.

I would advise to use this fix for this weekend then after that hopefully XBMC will have accepted the fixes into the version in their video addon repo.
Then I would reinstall the addon from the repo so that you will automatically get any future fixes and updates

Lol, I believe NBC have the rights until the end of the 2015-2016 season

btw I know its not up to broadcast HD standards but the Villa-Arsenal game via XBMC is quite possibly the best online stream I've ever seen , easily as good if not better than my former favourite streaming service of ESPN College Pass (for my sins I'm also a fan of college football)

Netflix streams at 6-7mb, looks comparable to Sky Movies

I'll acknowledge that my comment was both unhelpful and unnecessary but your comment was equally so, at the time you made it.
I'll try not to do it again. I hope you can do the same.

Does anyone know how I could get this XBMC add-on installed on a Raspberry Pi? Is it available to get without having to download the zip separately?

The NBC Live Extra App for Windows 8 seems to have improved. You still start every stream at the lowest of low res but it now improves to high quality after a few minutes. Not ideal, but preferable to dealing with the banner ad on the website.

How many simultaneous devices/IP addresses can be logged into NBSN app at once?
