Anyone got plans for next season?
I was thinking about going down the subscription route such as Streamtvbox.

Anyone currently using them?

Don`t waste your breath if you want to use it a peak times also i dont think digitalspy will like you promoting the site, your best options are premierleaguepass, nbc sports extra or beinsports

I cant edit my previous post! I didnt realise there is peak time issues so that wont be a runner!

Premierleaguepass was hit and miss for many people, some had their accounts cancelled very early in the season!

Beinsport isnt worth wasting time with!

I will have a look at nbc sport, wasnt great on Kodi the last time I tried it! It kept on buffering every 30 or so seconds!

Likewise to the above post,
the same as this year, Sky and BT for the televised games I want to see and the excellent NBC Sports Live Extra for the games The Premier League say I can't watch

Keeping a keen eye on the next standard of encoding in h.265/HEVC. Hopefully Neulion & PLP are on it as soon as something like Apple TV 4 is released and we should get a nice bump in quality.

Ok ive been doing some testing of the three services i have beinsports, startsports and premierleaguepass now ive had nothing but problems with inconsistent streams on all three ive tried using many different dns providers and ive had the same problem with all of them.

After a chat with technical support from one of the dns prviders he said that i may be being throttled on my virgin connection and i should try using a vpn and registering my dns to that vpn and not my home connection.

I done this and my connection/streaming issues now seem to of gone im watching all three services on multiple devices and there perfect, iam using a decent vpn with plenty of bandwidth the dns provider does the geblocking and the vpn gets around the throttling and so far its worked with all of the dns providers ive tried.

Just to note virgin seem to be throttling sports streams only netflix etc are unaffected i would not be suprised that this is the case for other ips`s

In reguards to using premier league pass you only need a vpn to get the stream going once going you can turn if off and it streams perfectly

Might not be related but when i was on vm i had nothing but hassle with getting online live football, constantly kept buffering so much for their 100mb eh?
Now i've moved to another provider only getting 78mbs and wollah never had any issues at all with live football streams, constant smooth playback every time.

You have hit the nail on head there on this occasion its a virgin issue iam on virgin and i would drop them in a heartbeat if i could get inifinity sadly i dont have that option of having t use a vpn to get around there piss poor service ,virgin are so bad ive only ever found 1 vpn that works with them as it should which in itself is a joke.

I had exact same issues hardly any vpn would work with vm cactus vpn worked it might be worth trying that they are fairly cheap.
I'm with plusnet now highly recommend them if/when fibre hits your area.

I'm on a 152mb connection with Virgin and I haven't encountered that much buffering or lag to make it an issue.

There are no download limits anymore the upload limits don`t affect me but to be honest i would rather have overall reliability than headline speeds sadly its either virgin or slow adsl here

No real problems with VM previously, but buffering every few seconds yesterday.

Very poor again last night. Not sure where the problem lays (the DNS or VM).

But then sometime after 11pm everything was OK. I tested with streams on two different devices - and all was perfect.

PLP during the whole of the second half for Liverpool game was unwatchable for me, Constant stopping and restarting, yet 1st half was perfect as normal.

Don't be surprised if it turns out that VM have over subscribed in your area they are well known for this.

I thought that initially but im not in an oversubscribed area iam lucky to get near enough 160 mbps day and night i think its a peering/routing issue with anything that originates in the USA

I have been using Plusnet recently & I have to say I am quite impressed, maybe I have just be lucky! I have had VM & BT in the past & my current isp has been better.
