Anyone know when the PLP Taiwan prices are out? I'm assuming they're leaving them Tim last to squeeze as many NZ subs out of people as possible?!

And do you blame them? I don't know how much the EPL bled them for the rights to broadcast the season, but I imagine they would be rather keen to at least get their money back and pay off their staff.

I can understand people wanting to pay less than the ridiculous prices and inconvenience by combining Sky and BT to watch many matches, and wanting to get all the games, but surly £8 a month or so for every game when subscribing to the NZ sub is not too much to ask for?

Especially when you absolutely know that people deliberately going for the Taiwan sub will just cause PLP to start cancelling customers subs again.

"Taiwan section will be back up and running in the next week or so once the site receive it's final 2015/16 tweaks."

£35 or £100? Hmm.

I think the other issue was so many people getting their accounts blocked too. Risking £100 and it going down after a game or two would be annoying. At £20, if you lose your account after a short time, it's not the end of the world.

PLP has slightly better quality in my opinion and is great if you have an iPad/Apple TV combo, but if you don't want to take any risks, stick with NBC... I hope I haven't jinxed it!

Assuming I can, I'll be signing upto both PLP and I already have an NBC sub too! Might grab a Star Sports one too if it's cheap

Anyone heard anything on Bein Sport now showing Premier League games online next season?

Must say I think Bein's coverage has gone backwards over the past year. The picture quality seems poorer and after a short period of really good features they seem to have changed back to a fairly basic, non-interactive interface.

Bein were crap the day they turned into Bein from Al Jazeera. They tried to cram too many features in abs forgot to make their streams work. I can't watch flash or silver light streams, they're awful. This is where Apple has nailed it.

No, they are fully authorised NBCSN resellers working on behalf of the Premier League.

Yes of course, the main EPL distributors in the UK are sky, BT and eBay user bella0167. Come on, it's common knowledge.

The NBCsports xtra subs are genuine i'm vary wary about buying subs of ebay these days after getting stung by a 12 month hulu+ sub which turned out the seller had used a stolen credit card to buy them with, luckily both ebay and hulu were very good ebay got me my money back and hulu gave me 3 months hulu+ for free.

Yes, they are genuinely stolen login details.

Hi,

I tried PLP at the start of last season and their streams were noticeably jerky - I read on here that it was because they were converting to a frame rate that could be played in Taiwan. It was suggested that they weren't doing it very well and they might improve it over time, or offer the original frame rate as an option.

I haven't seen any footage on PLP since last August - can anyone let me know if they improved it or now offer the original 25fps footage?

Thanks in advance,

John

Sadly you'll find that with most of the usa tv logins found onine like you i'm lucky enough to know someone in the USA who has created a sub account for me on their xfinity in return they use my shudder account it used to be i send them $10 each month but they are horror fans so were more than happy to share my shudder account.

The season-long commitment on PLP seems to be 199.00 NZD whereas the monthly one is 19.90 NZD, which for the 10-months of the season works out to exactly the same price.

Odd that they're offering literally no incentives for paying for a whole season up front at all. Given the risk of them taking 199.00 NZD out of your account and then the next day deciding to suspend you account without a refund, why would anyone pick this option?

Same thing happened to me first game of the season last year and I couldn't figure it out.
I read about using IE instead of Chrome/Firefox and the second weekend of games onwards were flawless for me.

For whatever reason, it works 100% in IE and a little jerky (like 15-20fps) in other browsers.
I'm guessing it's just badly coded or something.

I think I'll be going on the NZ sub and using a smart DNS option this season.
I got the "sneaky user" email on the second last game of last season when using Filipino sub on an Aussie credit card... using a smart DNS for NZ ...

Surprised it worked for as long as it did looking at that lol...

PLP was dreadful at the beginning of last season and I got my account suspended for enquiring about it. Though, I just paid again and could watch for the rest of the season - it improved greatly. FYI, I watch via iPad to Apple TV.

Hrmm that's odd.
Mine was literally perfect once I started using IE after the first match.
I had it on a laptop displaying onto a projector screen about 80" big and it still looked excellent.
On my Nexus 7 tablet, it worked perfectly smooth and looked really crisp too.
I had a 100mbit connection back then but I doubt that made a huge difference.

So, maybe the issues you had were browser or iOS related at the beginning and they patched them up? I'm not sure.

Still juggling with the idea of going PLP again this year but I'd probably have to do a few things first (dummy email address coz last time I got banned etc).

IIRC it was only the first week or two that was jerky and I had the same issues on desktop. Will probably go with them again as I don't know where / how to get an NBC pass - that's the only option that sounds as good / better.
